Yes the 2.7 is a twin turbo
My F150 currently has the 3.5 Twin turbo
I have driven a F150 2.7TT and it had plenty of power.
I would think the 2.7TT in a Ranger would give plenty of power.

In my case, I'm more focused on getting the body configuration (SCab + 6' bed) 2 WD with tow package and locking rear differential than an upgrade on the standard motor. I already have a Maverick with 2.0L Turbo AWD w/tow and it is properly quick as well - especially in Sport mode! My needs are a mid-size with ability to use as my Daily Driver in better weather months, hauling my dirt bikes to local off roading spots, camping, and occasional road trips pulling my mini toy hauler. I'll take the better MPG and 2WD that will do everything needed and am sure the 2.3L will be plenty for me.
