Anyone know if the spare has a TPMS in it? Knowing Ford cost savings practices for NA, I would guess not and I suppose being only a spare it makes sense not to have one. But being the same KO3 tire you could run it indefinitely. I'm looking into replacing the stock spare wheel with a factory RR wheel to make rotating tires easier, is what I'm getting at.

EDIT: No, Ranger Raptor spare does not have a TPMS installed. Verified after swapping tires.

I doubt the system software is engineered to see 5 TPMS sensors.

I doubt that as well. Cars that I know of that have TPMS in the spare you just rotate and after a few minutes the signal is switched and pressure shows up with the new wheel. Has to be in range. Other older vehicles I think require a manual reset. Not sure how the Ranger's work.

I must admit, I've never seen a vehicle that came with TPMS in the spare.

Sounds like a pain to rotate the spare frequently enough to keep tread depth within desired spec among all the tires.

I agree, but it's a $300+ spare tire that has an usage limit of 6 years, 10 years max, so...

I can't speak for the US spec version. But the European ones do have a TPMS sensor in the spare. I had a flat and changed tires and was surprised to see it read the spare tire pressure without me having to do anything!

I'll probably swap out the spare just to get a closer look at it and see how it reacts to the TPMS. And I'll probably go ahead and order a new wheel and have the tires swapped since I have to get tires swapped on another car anyways. If/when I do, I'll report back. ?

My 2023 Outback Wilderness had a TPM in the spare. First 5 tire rotation I had to go to the dealer to wake it up but after that whenever I rotated tires the car recognized it.
This was something I was wondering about also since 5 tire rotations can give increase tire life span and also give you 5 tires with similar wear rates.

Wheel finally came in so I'll try and get the tire swapped for it soon. Picked up a TPMS just in case there's not one in the spare like I believe.

So to answer my original question = no, the spare tire does NOT come with a TPMS.

Got the spare swapped out and now I can rotate all the wheels without having to dismount/remount.

And here's the reason why the trailer plug was relocated for the Raptor

I’m trying to lower mine and the attachment point when you put the t-end rod in is so far left it’s impossible to get it in there at that angle. Do you have to remove the bumper trim? I’ve tried several times, it’s way too far left through that access hole.

There goes the white plastic guide sleeve.

My Ford dealer got it taken care of for me in 10 minutes, all set. I was using the wrong end of the rod, don’t use the T like instructions show.
