Just curious what it looks like without them (preferably on an XLT). I find that they are just in the way because this truck does not sit that high.

Although, they are very good door ding deterrents!

Same here. I removed the RB's from my Bronco and put on rock rails. Looked much better. Just waiting on RR's to come out.

The FX4 package requires the running boards. Which is a stupid decision on Ford's part in my opinion.

The only one that matches my description so far was body mounted. I like having the steps but they need to be removed for offroad use.

I actually like the way they look, but that's preference. For off-roading, I'd rather have real rock sliders with a minimal step, but I'm going to run with the OEM boards for a while and when they get bashed up then I'll replace them.

You need to make rock rails for the Ranger that are like the ones for the Bronco.
