Like 4-5 times now I go to put something In the back seat of my truck and I go to open the back door with the key in my pocket and the alarm starts going off. I thought maybe it wasn’t reading the key in my pocket but turns out the back doors just don’t lock but the truck thinks they are locked so when it’s opened it thinks someone broke in.

Anybody dealt with this or on another car and know an easy fix before I take it in?

No, I'm having a different issue. My back seats are not clicking in place when I try to put them back. Messed with it and can't get it. Yours definitely sounds like a trip to the dealer is needed.

Interesting. I had the front passenger door open, clicked the unlock button on the door to get in the back, and the alarm went off when I opened it. I'll check to see if I can replicate it but gonna follow this thread.

In case anyone was following this thread, my car sat at the dealer for 5 days without anyone even taking a look at it let alone working on fixing anything and zero communication when anybody would actually be able to work on it. Im leaving the country for a week so i picked it back up today cuz I definitely don’t want it sitting there for another week collecting dust. Safe to say I’ll be taking it to a different dealer when I get back in town after the 4th. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just an FYI, Ford had some cyber attack going on last week(end), so maybe that was the issue with not getting anything done.

Wasn't Ford that had the attack but CDK of which ~15,000 dealerships (Stellantis, Ford, BMW, etc.) rely on their software. .

Brought truck to another dealer this morning. They ordered new latches for the doors, doing the alignment tomorrow, and they said it’s “normal” for the hood to take a little extra work to close. Might try to adjust the latch myself if I feel like it will cause issues down the road slamming it all the time 🤔.

I adjusted my hood latch and it made a huge difference.

I had to adjust the hood latch up quite always and adjust the hood stoppers up a few turns.

Wasnt Ford, but the software company most of the dealers in the US use for basically everything.
