Swooped up some bronco Sasquatch wheels and swapped on 35s... needed to removed the crash bars and trim 1" off the rear on front inner fenderlip. stuffed the suspension and NO rubbing.

funny how the f150 Raptor owners look puzzled now as we cruise by.

Someone else in another thread did the same thing, and ill reiterate the same thing here. Removing the crash bar is dumb. I'm glad you slept at a Holiday Inn last night and are now an engineer and that all the bros at the Gas Station are gonna come up to you now and talk to you about your HUGE GIRTHY HARD truck. but, at the end of the day removing crash bars is some smooth brain stuff.

You are only putting others at risk now.

Actually every Bronco Ford builds with factory optioned Sasquatch package 35” tires, has the crash bars deleted by ford at production. If it were truly a significant safety concern, Ford would not remove them from all those thousands of Bronco’s rolling in 35s right out of the factory without any crash bars. Just my 2 cents for whatever it’s worth.

The ranger is not the Bronco though which is the issue. It maybe the same frame, but its a completely different set of materials everywhere else. Also just because the factory does it, doesnt mean its safe, look at how bad some vehicles are coming out of crash testing in general.

Which might be relevant if Ford was changing the “materials everywhere else”. But they’re not. They removed the crash bars from…what was it you said? Oh yeah, “the same frame”.

Stop trying to be different just to stand out.

Good grief you are a major D Bag. Shouldn't be surprised coming from a subaru driver. Don't stop here bud, go to all the other raptor forums and preach about crash bars. All Bronco / F150 raptors also do not have the crash bars.

wait till our new "buddy" finds out I removed the airbags too, ROFL... hope he's taking his heart medication. if he's following my threads on any forums. lol.

Oh and it's a known fact in the off road community Subarus generally are wannabe offroaders...kinda like their owners. But since he/she has the authority of an engineer, for sure already knew that part.

Subaru makes the best snow car in the world. Thats not what I need though.
People ride motorcycles, so I guess everyone gets to decide what level of risk they're willing to take. I imagine what happens in an accident with no crashbars is that the wheel gets pushed into the cab of the truck. None of this stuff was on cars until the IIHS started doing the small overlap crash test. We were all rolling around in death traps back in the 80's, most of us survived.
