Looks like brillo pad material. All I can see is that becoming a grimy, grungy dirt attractor you cannot access to clean.

I took a thin aluminum yard stick and popped out the two plastic push pins and removed mine
I could just see leaves and other organic items getting caught there.
There has been no changes or sound issues since removing

Can @Ford look into this and tell us all if this white piece of junk between the bed and cab is supposed to be removed?
This is just going to be an area where leaves and debris will accumulate, and it does not dry out right way after getting wet.

My WAG. May be protection so as to not to bang the bed against the cab at assembly.

I have it on Mine as well. Oh well, it's not bothering anyone so I let it be 😊

With as many people still have the material present, it seems likely that it's supposed to stay there and it's not just a temporary shipping material. The chances that 1-2 dealers forgot to unpack the truck right is one thing, but when we have seen nearly every truck on this forum with it in place after purchase, it's likely it was never meant to be removed. Also the fact that it is riveted onto the body and not just a free-floating sheet of material adds to this.

We've had like 3-4 large threads about this on the forum, and the consensus with almost everyone is that it's there after taking delivery and their dealer said it's supposed to be there.

Mine had 4 plastic push pins no rivets. They were easy to remove.

Piece of white fabric that feels like underlayment or insulation between the cab and bed . I saw it when I was changing the bulbs in the cargo lights to LED’s

My friend’s build/delivery date are similar to yours and he has them. Interesting.
