Hey Gang!

I just installed my 2.5" Foutz Collars and replaced my crash bars with the Readylift high clearance bars. I either going with Method 17x8.5 +25 or RTR 17x9+30 for my wheels.

Now thinking about tires... I want 35's or 34's but then I thought to myself I haven't seen folks off-roading with larger tires.

Sure 35's and 34's fit on the street, especially with the 2.5" collars, but who is off-roading with them? Do they rub at full stuff? Anyone jumped with 35's or34's? Any high speed off-roading?

I have wheeled mine pretty hard with 35" M/Ts and the 2.5" collars. No rubbing whatsoever but I also removed the front crash bars entirely so your mileage may vary. I have jumped it a few times and have done quite a bit of high speed stuff but no issues so far except having to get my truck realigned after every trip

Nice what’s your wheel/tire setup including offset? Did you remover the rear crash bars and did you have to trim for clearance as well?

Thanks for any help!

35/12.50/17 Baja Boss M/T with a 17x8.5 +25mm offset. I removed the front crash bars but I have not had to touch the rears. Other than removing the front crash bars I have not had to trim at all. I did the same tire on a 17x9 +18mm offset for a friend of mine and we had to remove front and rear crash bars and he gets some very light rubbing inside of the wheel well (not enough to warrant trimming anything).

Based on your experience with the 35" 17x9 +18 install with your friend... do you think a 17x9 +18 with a 33x12.50x17 (32.6x12.8x17) will clear? Or, IYO do the crash bars still have to be removed? Trying to max with aftermarket wheel/tire combo without a lift or rub, trimming. Thanks

I couldn't say for sure, I would be surprised if that rubbed at all, but I have not done enough of a variety of setups on these trucks yet to say yes or no with confidence. If you are going to that offset I would just come to terms with removing the front crash bars so you aren't surprised if you need to. It does not require any cutting, just unbolt and slide them out, they can always be reinstalled down the line very easily.

Heres a pic of his setup, it kicks the tire out a decent amount compared to stock which is why I would say you may need to remove the crash bars even though you aren't going for much larger tires.

I installed zero offset with stock tires, though I have been worried about landing i feel a bit better now. Thanks for the post.

Not my post but I mentioned my setup higher up. I have done a lot more off-roading in various types of terrain since my last post. I did end up removing the rear crash bars because I saw some light wear marks when I was rotating the tires but I don't think it was 100% necessary, kind of one of those might as well while i'm at it situations. When I REALLY stuff the tires into the wheel well it sometimes rubs and pulls some fender clips out but again, not really worth trimming anything because it happens pretty rarely and those clips are easy to replace.

Im rocking the thick boys (Falken AT4w 315/70r17) and have done a moderate amount of offroading this summer. Mostly slow stuff and got it pretty flexed. I have bombed some dirt roads and drifted it around in the sand. Haven't jumped it but I prefer to keep my tires planted to the ground since thats usually faster and don't particularly care for the risk reward mix of jumping stuff. Nothing bad so far. I haven't hit anything above a OnX 7 in terms of techincal trails but I haven't had any issue with rubbing the fender flairs.

I'm gonna shill a little with pictures and some offroad vids but just want to show it's been offroad.

Do you have the part number for the ReadyLift High Clearance Crash Bars? I'm ready to pull the trigger on these so that I am setup and ready for 35's in the very near future.
