First, a thank you to all the members that posted on their audio upgrade adventures, it really helped in refining my choices!

Installed the MoBridge Amp/DSP plug & play kit, this thing is amazing for its size, plenty of power and the software is easy to use (I did have it professionally tuned). Installed Hertz Pro components up front, coaxials in the rear doors and a 10" Hertz sub under the rear seat (used the box from StealthTech).

I had it all professionally installed and tuned. I did try using just the factory speakers and the Hertz sub, I wanted more so I did the upgrade on all the speakers, tbh, I think the Mobridge is to much for the factory speakers, will it work, of course, but I think you would be missing out on the potential of the amp/dsp. To each his own, car audio is very personnel, so each person will want something different. The biggest limitation in the Ranger Raptor is space, there just isn't much to work with unless you take drastic measures and remove the rear seats and build a box/amp rack, etc. I would never do that (I love car audio, but not that much to rip out seats!!).

Coming from an SUV with a JL 12W6V3 HO box to the Hertz 10" was a change, but I was never going to get that kind of sub performance in the Raptor. Overall very happy with the upgrade. If you're in the Houston area, I have a 5-star recommendation for the car audio shop, just shoot me a message!

Looks great! Do you have any reservations about the sub? I’m looking at getting the same one!

How much does the sub press against the bottom of the seat? I made a fiberglass enclosure for a 10TW3 and I just felt the sound was so muddled being pressed into the seat bottom. I can maybe get another 3/8 with modifying the box but seemed like any of the 10s I tried to test fit didn’t work. I’ll have to look at that Herrz again

No, for now it's just disabled in the dsp to off (or mute). Still on the fence for center channels in car audio, but to each his own.

It's gotta be rather tight, I can't really "see" if it's touching. I know with the grill in place the speaker can't touch the bottom of the seat. With the StealthTech box, JL stealth box or your own custom box, there just isn't much room for a sub in these Ranger's...looking forward to see what other new solutions will be presented. If the JL stealth box came with a 10TW3, I might of went with it vs. the Hertz, but so far I'm happy with what it is. Maybe someday will have to come together and have a sound off of Ranger Raptor's!!

Having the mObridge fit into the factory amp location with its output and dsp, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more compact solution.

I am getting the JL audio stealth box, Audio Control 1.300 amp, and pretuned Kicker LOC from Sound Good Stereo installed in a few weeks. I plan on using stock speakers. I'll report back on how it sounds but this was what I could afford while still upgrading the bass in the Raptor.
