On the Regular Raptor Forum there is a thread which lists the issues each owner has found with the delivery of their new Raptor. This was very helpful during the initial pickup of mine and helps with some of the repeat issues that new vehicles seem to have. It also becomes very comical that Ford has issues fixing something simple over multiple years (plastic wrap left on left front shock of Gen3 Raptors). Hopefully Ford will pay attention, improve their QC and address some of these over time as they have on the other forum.

I don't see a thread compiling delivery issues with Ranger Raptors here, so I will start one. If one already exists then please post a link.

My Issues upon delivery:

  • Rear Seat impressions/stretching to the point seat cover needs to be replaced
  • Front Bumper crooked / about an extra inch gap on passenger side
  • Hood latch too tight such that it pull hood out of alignment with Fenders
  • Marginal bodywork around door frames and top of rear fender, a couple manufacturing impressions need paintless correction.

My only issue was the hood latch needed to be adjusted. I can live with that, it only took a few minutes to fix.

Might be helpful to post your production date from the door jamb sticker as some of these things are likely to be mitigated during the production process.

I noticed that today when I opened my hood for the first time today, and when I tried to close it and didn't lock in. It took me several tries and now I noticed it is a bit off with the gap on the driver side slightly wider than the passenger side.

How did you end up fixing that issue?

I raised the hood latch about 3/16". I did it when I was installing my marker lights on the grill and I had that plastic cover on top of the radiator removed so the 2 bolts were easy to get to.

It's a bit disappointing to see these issues on such an expensive truck. I love my Ranger Raptor, but I expected better quality control from Ford. Hopefully they'll address these problems in future production runs.

Good day all.

I had cam phaser issues which need to be replaced. Ford replaced them together with related parts. 2 weeks.
My tailgate is not aligned properly. There's a gap when it's closed. They attempted to realign but failed.

Also on mine, but it had to be lowered because the hood lifted and vibrated at higher speeds.

My seats have some stitching issues but it’s whatever. My biggest issue is everything in my truck rattles. It started around 600 miles and I’m at 2700 now and I can’t imagine what it’ll be like off road when a paved road makes it sound like it’s a 30 year old truck.

Mine has a large gap too pretty sure that’s just the “design”.
Did they give you a vehicle while they took two weeks to fix your truck?

How many miles when you started having cam phaser issues?

Ford doesn’t know what quality control is. They have the same poor quality control on the 90K Raptor. It’s pretty sad.
