Deleted color a sign of special edition?

Evidently the chili pepper color that I thought was perfect for the RR was not so popular with buyers. Employee at my dealer posed the thought that discontinuing it could be in preparation of a future special edition model? Which was all my brain needed to jump to wish listing that color or even code orange, dual valve shocks, and how about, since we're dreaming, a Coyote V8?
I know getting all of that is about as likely as a lottery win but anyone have any insider info on any sort of special edition in the works, or even rumored?

ETA: forgot to add heated AND cooled seats to my wish list above; just in case Santa is watching.

But Iconic Silver was popular, and they deleted that color too to add Desert Sand, Marsh Gray and Ruby Red, none of which I like.

Ford changes colors on specials like this. I had two Molten Orange Clearcoat Raptors (10 and 11) never saw that color again. I agree Hot Pepper Red is really nice, I had a 23 bronco in that color. I also had a competition Orange 50 years package Mustang convertible. Only year they did that color, nothing unusual. Raptor is special enough, it‘s not like they are going to do an R, I just dont see a Ranger Raptor R. Chalk it up to annual color changes. I have Velocity blue, a color I absolutely love.

Jeep does this a lot. Rotating many colors every two years. It keeps it fresh on the road and makes people want to switch when the color they’ve always wanted is released.

In 2022, Ford had a limited Splash Edition for Rangers, with 750 in Avalanche, 500 in Forged Green, and 500 in Desert Sand. Only Desert Sand is back for 2025.
Early 5G Rangers had limited Cyber Orange.

Give me eruption green any day... Though I I've started to do some towing - and would like to tow my GT500 to some races this next year. I don't think the Ranger is going to be up for that

Unless they are reading something off a Ford Corporate letterhead, dealers seem to be the last to know about anything and many just will make up shit to a customer. I think this is one of those instances.
