I have a 2024 XLT, 2.3. Yesterday, the transmission shifted into neutral all by itself. I stopped at an intersection, and when I started to pull ahead, the transmission had shifted to neutral. The only way I could move was to go to the manual mode and shift manually. Reverse didn't work either. I turned the engine off and restarted it, and everything was fine. I went home without a hitch. I called my dealer this morning about it. They had never heard of that happening. They will be getting it today to check it out. Oh, I got a powertrain malfunction message.

Has anyone had this problem?

I have had a similar problem where the shifter moves from D or R to park and will not engage until I shut down. Did you take yours in? Mine is currently in shop

I assume you have the e-shifter and not the mechanical one?
