It's a loud engine bay on a hot day. Mine will drown out a phone call walking by the truck.

It's been over 90 here, though, and I'm remote starting it with the A/C on.

Ok, got my truck back from Ford today. They ran a bunch of tests on it, and did not find any issues with the coolant, fan or sensors. They told me that if there were any issues with any of these, it would have thrown a code.
It was between 90 and 100 in the Scranton PA area the last 3 days, which they fully place the blame on for the problem.
I guess us RR guys are just going to have to get used to a jet engine sound under our hood when it gets hot outside. Puzzled the Ford engineers didn't take this into consideration when they were creating these things...

Same system Ford has had for years… if you lived in South Florida you’d hear it on all Ford trucks…..works very well

Electric Fans = loud
Belt driven Fan = quiet

Not surprised they said they are operating as designed.

They did take it into consideration though, it's a high performance offroad truck capable of running baja, it's going to be a bit loud to maintain its excellent cooling in 90+ temps

People complain about the strangest things. Who cares if the fans are loud? You don't hear it in the cabin and the truck's cooling system works great even in high ambient temperatures.

But you do hear it, but keep on generalizing.

I am at 76,000 miles living in the tropic and the fan noise had been as you described. No issue with the cooling system (fingers crossed ?). Coolant temps always been normal.

I was not complaining, I was concerned there was a problem? Is this not where we RR guys go to find answers? Your reply discourages me from using this site and talking to fellow Raptor owners...

The real problem is when you don’t hear it.

It's very common for Gen 2 guys (me included) to put a cooler thermostat in (170 vs 193) which seems to help a lot. Not sure how hot these RRs run but maybe it is something to consider?

It's not just Raptor. XLT also has electric fans, but I don't know if it's any different that Raptor. My XLT has loud fans on hot days, usually just on start-up do I notice, when outside the truck. Not so much when inside. But I'm 60 with less-than-optimal hearing.
