What size is th

E ball? I ordered one like this which was 20mm ball and was to small for the wolfbox mount. Looks like it should be 22mm?

I used this to create a bracket to fit what would work for me

@Gerry Bourret can you take a picture of how that works? i see the amazon ad but it doesn't show anything but which mirror it fits and a bunch of parts so i don't know what that actually does

you select an insert that fits what you are trying to attach to takes some playing around to find the best fitting

I just did this install. Kudos on the design and manufacturing of this, it's a fantastic install, nicely done @tackform killed it.

Here is mine, for my Garmin DriveSmart 76 ... one hint, you may need a right angle drill attachment to drill the two holes, my Dewalt 20V driver did it, but just barely. It hits the glass.

I used a 20mm to 17 mm "dog bone" adapter from Amazon, see Post 38. This setup works beautifully and is rock solid. I position the gps so the airflow from the left vent just catches the bottom, that cools the Garmin battery nicely (It gets toasty otherwise, and can shut itself down!) I can still see the entire big display. My only problem is finding a way to turn of the USB C power, it is a pesky problem and I am looking for a fix:

A 10 foot USB C to USB C cable, plugged into the RR upper socket under the main console display.. It goes from there under the glove box, up the right door A pillar weatherstripping, then across to the gps. It is just lying under and almost completely hidden by my dash matt. It works OK except for the problem I mentioned in my post. I have to keep it unplugged all the time, unless I am actually using it.

I just installed in my Ranger, really pleased with the fit and quality of the Tackform mount.

For those wondering about comparability with Ram mounts, I'm using a Ram 1"/B size track ball mount (RAP-B-354U-TRA1)

It's not a perfect fit, the base is a bit wider than the top of the rail, but seems to work alright. I have several Ram components in different vehicles and equipment and wanted to maintain interchangeability.

It would be nice if Tackform would offer a 1"/25mm ball for the slim track.

How'd you route your wires?

I saw the cable under the dash mat, I installed the Tackform and really want to get power up there BUT the only video I saw to remove the panel you need to take out the seats and center console. I like things done right and no wires showing, but at what cost?

Wondering if anyone has found a "hack" to get usb or 12v power to the top of the center stack

My order is on the way, when i pop the oem plastic piece I'm going to see if there is a way to run a wire down the back of the Infotainment screen.

For those looking to run power or other cables to the middle of the dash. I was able to pop the center speaker grill and then pop the center speaker out. From there I ran a thin fiberglass rod down the hole angled towards the gas/break pedals. Its tight with all the vent tubes and other things but it's possible. From there I taped a usb c and three other cables for the wolfbox's 3 cameras and GPS cables and pulled them up to the speaker hole. Then drilled a hold to the left of the front panel that has the seat belt connections. I still need to get a piece of 1/2 inch wire loom to go over all the cables then feed into the drilled hole to give it an extra clean look.
