Om liking mine more, I feel the building quality is really good. Just took a while to get used to and I need more padding in the seat.

So far I gave 3000km on my truck

I love the size of the ranger. And everything else about it.

The older rangers, from the 80s to 2011 or so, were such popular trucks. They were agreat commercial vehicle for lots of companies and ford sold a bunch of them. We had 4 or 5 for my dad's plumbing company and put 100k a year on them
I am purchasing a new Ranger because its a bit more spacious in the interior then my 2011.
Those Gen trucks are to small for a 6' person. Nice to not have your head close to the roof on 6G.
Hopefully be able to get out of it easier.

It does have a ton more room than my other ranger, the 04 single cab. My wife and kids like it too

The rear seats have enough leg room for a long trip with an average size person.
Toyota did not make their Tacoma useful for long journey's with all the seats full.
I feel Ford just missed out on the 60/40 rear seat and the more improved crash protection head rests are a pain. To me these trucks do not make sense with financing them on your own. I will treat myself and purchase one in full. I ordered an XLT with 2.3L MPC motor.

If your interested - here is a good video on the construction and underside of a Maverick (Hybrid). I think when the Maverick was a very affordably priced vehicle it was a great buy. But now, maybe not so much.

In my opinion, conceptually, the Maverick is the best truck on the road in the US, these days.

For actual daily truck use, something like that is what most people ought to buy. For trails, it's all most people need, but a few ORV areas I've seen are now disallowing AWD vehicles.

If I needed an actual pickup as a daily driver, though, that would be high on the list of contenders.

My take from that video-Ford built it to collapse like a tin can (and a rusty tin can at that. )
Looks too small and too cheap for me. Made in Mexico means tariffs will price it out of the market.
That rusty muffler will fail under warranty if the Maverick sits too long on the dealer lot .
Ford loses billions on warranty claims. Thats horrible for business.

Agreed. I think the maverick is more competitive in the economy car segment.

What kind of mileage are you getting? I get about 20mpg avg. 2.7L xlt, and I have kind of a lead foot...
Ditto Dutch - lead foot plus++
By the way - did you buy the Granger factory warranty? I have not yet but with 13K miles maybe I should. Really stressing my lower gears :-0

The Maverick hybrid gets better city mileage, but it's also smaller even than the Ranger. If space isn't yet an issue, perhaps the Maverick won't solve that either.

It looks as if the F-150 was a more suitable fit for your needs. Maybe you can trade in for an F-150, or even take a lightly used one if a brand new one is more than you have for right now.

Ford trucks are built rugged, and the good news is, whatever model you decide on—Ranger, Maverick, F-150—they all endure. You simply have to figure out which one fits your lifestyle.
