I am purchasing a new Ranger because its a bit more spacious in the interior then my 2011.I love the size of the ranger. And everything else about it.
The older rangers, from the 80s to 2011 or so, were such popular trucks. They were agreat commercial vehicle for lots of companies and ford sold a bunch of them. We had 4 or 5 for my dad's plumbing company and put 100k a year on them
In my opinion, conceptually, the Maverick is the best truck on the road in the US, these days.If your interested - here is a good video on the construction and underside of a Maverick (Hybrid). I think when the Maverick was a very affordably priced vehicle it was a great buy. But now, maybe not so much.

Those Gen trucks are to small for a 6' person. Nice to not have your head close to the roof on 6G.
Hopefully be able to get out of it easier.
Agreed. I think the maverick is more competitive in the economy car segment. My take from that video-Ford built it to collapse like a tin can and a rusty tin can at that.
Looks too small and too cheap for me. Made in Mexico means tariffs will price it out of the market
Ditto Dutch - lead foot plus++What kind of mileage are you getting? I get about 20mpg avg. 2.7L xlt, and I have kind of a lead foot...
I just got the 36k warranty that comes standard with the truck.Ditto Dutch - lead foot plus++
By the way - did you buy the Granger factory warranty? I have not yet but with 13K miles maybe I should. Really stressing my lower gears :-0
Thanx - just weighing my options.I just got the 36k warranty that comes standard with the truck.
