I know of the Aeroskin 1 and 2 on the Ford pass site, which look nice, but they don't cover the front edges of the fenders. A lot of more traditional bug deflectors for the hood go all the way across, but I can't seem to find anything for the RR that does.

Ranger 2024-2025 AeroSkin Hood Protector | Accessories | Ford.com

It only actually covers the hood edge itself. I suppose I could use PPF all the way across, but I was looking for something a bit more permanent / meaty for the front hood edge.

Aka something like this (except for the RR): Bug Deflectors & Shields | Husky Liners

even the egr one only does the hood. i have their stand off one and it stops and leaves the fenders vulnerable

Have the whole hood done in PPF, and ideally the fenders, bumper, mirror caps, door handle cups, and fuel door. A good installer and quality film last a long time and does an amazing job while also being basically invisible.

If ONLY I had the extra cash to do a whole PPF wrap...alas I'm just a poor man who barely squeezed out enough in the budget for the truck / gas / regular maintenance.

Unfortunately at this time, its cheap options only. I might be able to swing PPF for just the front (headlights and body areas, not worried about bumper or grille). That seems to be the best option even for limited coverage.

Looks similar to the others, doesn't cover the fenders. I'm thinking limited PPF and maybe the bonnet protector or just all PPF. I actually like the looks of the slim bonnet protectors so I might do a mixture of both.

Then the stone guards for the large square cut out holes in the front of the side steps and I think that's good enough for me. Rear fender already has a nice scratch from my daughter who tried lifting a suite case over the side instead of using the tail gate 10 inches away from where she was standing…the more the marrier right?

I'm mostly interested in preserving the headlights and preventing the front from looking like a salt / peppered dinner plate by the time I hit 50k. Little random chips or small scratches here and there just add to the character

I pinged the mfg. and they said they do not have a US distributor, but that doesn't pre-clude non-US distributors from selling to the US (import) and the US does a LOT of trade with the UK.

Airplex is based in New Zealand. It's pricey after shipping + exchange rate + tariffs but this is one of the FEW bug deflectors that actually has winglets that cover the leading edge of the front fender where I have several small and not highly noticeable but cringe worthy rock chips....and I think it looks better aesthetically than most of the other options.

Since I have several touch free car wash bays right by my house in the suburbs (one of which I have a monthly subscription to), I'm not worried about the "floating design" that can't go through a more traditional auto wash.

I also don't have any trees or other things around my house where debris will build up behind it regularly and my truck is garage kept when not being used. Although periodic removal, cleaning / inspection would probably be advisable just to ensure no damage to the paint from rubbing over time.

I think this is the best option I can find as I'm not a huge fan of the US options since they don't cover the leading edges of the fenders (other than the EGR, which I don't care for aesthetically).

This one looks pretty good in my opinion as well.

Looks like the same one I'm after too. I may order one too.

What I really like, aside from the overall appearance, is that this one has winglets to cover the leading edge of the fenders. That's actually where most of my rock chips are, like 2/3 of all my rock chips seem to be in that area.

I’ve had deflectors in the past and maybe I own my vehicles too long but I was never really happy with them In the long run.

This time I have factory paint protection film and it covers along the front edge of the hood and down the sides and the area just in front of the rear wheels.

While I wasn't expecting it, the color match to the stock "charcoal" colored OE polymer on the grille / fenders is a VERY close match to the stone guard from Airplex. It is a matte black, but it has a bit of an egg-shell sheen that makes it look more "charcoal grey" than you would think, it's almost an OE look.

I love it. It's also quite robust, the material is of similar plastic type to the grille and it's about 2mm thick, so it's quite robust. I would not expect it to crack for break unless you get into a actual collision (which you'll have bigger issues than a cracked stone guard). I think this is "the stoneguard to get" for this truck.

It also has the winglets that cover the front edges of the fenders right where most of my rock chips are, so it should reduce them significantly. You could also put this over PPF if one wanted to. Install is also removable, uses two push pins with screws (which expand behind the mounting hole), then two clips at the ends with a PPF-like clear pads so the plastic clips don't scratch your paint.

Was a bit of a pain to get on, but once it's on it's very secure and fits nicely, generous clearance from the hood and not really anywhere for water to pool. Although, with any screw-on type if you get a lot of debris from trees, you might need to blow it out periodically with compressed air or a soft brush. Aside from that (not an issue for me), it's a very well designed stone / bug shield.

And I forgot to mention, the UK distributor I linked in posts further above took about 2 weeks from order to arrival, not bad for international shipping. Cleared customs within a day or two.

Pulled the trigger on it. The matte being close to stock look sealed it for me. I'm so sick of getting all these chips on front edge. I'll make sure to claybar the whole front end and ceramic coat it before putting it on.

Airplex sells that guard for almost $30 less than that UK eBay seller, their website is not set up for International sales, so I sent an enquiry to see if it is possible. I will follow up with details if they respond. See attached pics. The Shipped Price includes shipping to Washington State.

I would much prefer to get mine direct from NZ rather than get one that has made TWO long international trips….
