I have had mine for 5 weeks and 800 miles. To date, it's the highest quality vehicle I have ever owned. Fit and finish are great and feels very well put together. My only complaints so far having to push/clear the seatbelt warning and turn off the autostop every time I get in to drive.

I will say I think my 24 is satisfactory imo. No major issues.
My only real complaints are the brakes are spongy, the front headrests push my head too far forward and the doors seem like they need more insulation (very hollow sounding when shutting).

This is my first Ford (2024 2.7L Lariat FX4) and so far I'm loving it. I might be lucky or just easily impressed, though, as I haven't owned a vehicle I've been unhappy with (I think my worst experience was my 2008 Cadillac CTS - twice the timing chains were stretched putting it into limp mode, both times repaired under warranty). Prior to my Ranger I had a '23 GMC Sierra with the 3.0L Duramax. We sold our travel trailer, so I wanted to downsize. Aside from GM vehicles I've owned two Honda Civics, we also currently own a Jeep Wrangler 4xe and a Toyota GR Corolla.

The only vehicle I cross-shopped the Ranger with in person was a GMC Canyon (I was considering an AT4X, was only able to drive a Denali). The interior of the Ranger impressed me way more than the Canyon. Soft touch plastics on the door panels and dash vs hard plastics on the Canyon being the main differentiator. And of course the god awful GM seats that plague all of their trucks. The Canyon had lots of fancy tech (HUD, a bunch of different gauge layouts, etc), the AT4X even has underbody cameras, but I'm not sure I need any of that.

Three months and ~6700 KMs in I'm really happy with the Ranger. The 2.7 is a joy to drive, and there's only been one or two weird shifts from the transmission I've noticed. I'm averaging 21.2 mpg, maybe 65-70% highway. That's better than I expected for a twin turbo V6 (and apparently better than the Colorado/Canyon's I4). I've made numerous 3+ hour trips, and it doesn't leave me feeling tired after.

The FordPass app seems faster and more useful than the MyGMC app. Remote start and lock/unlock via the app is a subscription for GM, vs just being there with Ford. It also has a nice widget I can use on my phone that displays fuel level and range - nice to know if I need to stop for gas before a trip.

It's early, but I'm really impressed by my Ranger so far.

I too have a 2025 Ranger XLT. Having owned dozens of vehicles in the 55 years I have been driving to compare to, this is one of the better ones. Picked it up Memorial Day 2025, and have already put 10.5K miles on it, so have run it well. I have the 2.3l MPC, and have been impressed with the power. Have not felt the need for the 2.7, and that is while towing a 5K pound box trailer 4k of those miles. My 2k pound teardrop camper doesn’t even exist when that is attached, other that all the bells and whistles telling me it is.
While I am sure the 2.7 is more fun for the right foot, just glad not to have the cost and complexity of two more cams, an additional turbo, etc.
I do have a couple gripes, like other posters, like meh stock tires, and Ford cheaped out on the main instrument cluster. Yeah, leave the bigger center display and better tunes for the Lariat premium, but why can’t I get the gauges to monitor my drivetrain? It’s a damn video display, why can’t it be user configured!?!
One other gripe on the same subject, memory, or should I say lack of it. Why can’t the truck remember the last drive mode I set up? If the trailer hasn’t been disconnected from the last run, why do I have to set that trailer again when I do a re-start? And the seat belt reminder. Why do I have to acknowledge the screen when the belt is fastened? Fine to light the icon if it isn’t fastened, but it should go away when it is, instead an acknowledgement screen takes over part of the drivers display until I tell it ok.
One last dishonerable mention: the damn auto-stop/start function! Why do I have to buy an aftermarket gadget to trick the ECU? If I shut it off, leave it off!!!
I am sure some of this comes from liability concerns at Ford, so on start, do a 5 second display of changes, then go away!

It occurred to me the other day that the lengthy startup procedure for this truck might have left me in a few pickles, in the past. The notable delays going between park, reverse, and drive wouldn't have been fun, either. 🤣

Yes Ford made the engine compartment larger for the 2.7L. From what I can see nothing has been up graded. I do not know how many people would pull a close to 7500 lbs trailer in hilly areas with the 2.3 L.
Just sounds like the brakes are inadequate on the 2.7L. Maybe even a solid drive shaft would have helped.
Umm, what? Nothing has been upgraded, from what? The last gen? Sounds like the brakes are inadequate on the 2.7?! A solid driveshaft would have helped with what, vibration?
Is this comment ai slop? Or summary fud from random forum posts?

Well, here's my (long) 2 cents worth... coming from a 2014 Tacoma TRD Pro, which fit, finish and paint was very good, truck never asked for anything (mechanically wise). Had less than 40,000 miles on it when sold... was just tired, wanted something new and more power than Toyota's V6 (that could have really used some help, though it ran just fine). Test drove the new Tacoma, with their turbo 4 and that gimmicky electric motor they stuck on the tranny, to try and alleviate turbo lag and a help fuel millage... was not impressed in the slightest. Especially since they had to take up all of the back under-seat storage area, for the electric motor battery... which in 7-10 years, you get to replace that as well. No thanks...
Now 2024 Ranger Raptor (only 15 hunert miles thus far), but everything still working as expected. Really like being able to use FORScan, to get rid of annoyances, still a couple to sort out as the code changes become available. Lots of power in Ford's twin-turbo V6, especially with the Performance Tune added. Fuel mileage around town is for sh*t, but all that HP demands a price. Personally I think Ford's paint could use some work, looks good, but definitely not top shelf and scratches to the primer too easily. 10 speed transmission is nice, helps keep those turbos up on the pipe for quick acceleration, though I do find it a bit clunky at times as well... livable though. And others are right, Ford's Infotainment center is pretty darn good, could use some more customization allowabilty though. World's better than the Toyota outdated offering. All in all, not sorry as yet.

' like meh stock tires ' hmmmmm. I did look at a Tacoma before I traded a 4R for the Ranger this past weekend. My Ranger came with Goodyear Territory AT (I assume this is standard), much better than what was on the Tacoma. I'd just put K03s on the 4Runner 2 weeks before trading. I think these Terrirory's will do fine (asphalt living/pulling a Casita) until they wear out.

' damn auto-stop/start function! ' I notice it but it is so quick to restart I consider it no big deal. Now in my wife's Subaru it is painful/a bit&ch even.

' why do I have to set that trailer again when I do a re-start? ' Valid! It 'knows' when you plug in a trailer eh...should know if you dont.

We went with the 2.4, only because on the lot the Ranger we chose was the only one with integral braker controller. Since we bought the Ranger to pull a Casita that feature swayed us. At purchase I didn't even know about the tech package on it to help towing/backing up etc. I had googled/AI even, asking if the 2.4 was OK with the 3000lb Casita. Good to know you have towed with much heavier with no issues.

On my comment on the ‘meh’ stock tires: I live in an area with a lot of dirt roads. They are fairly good at keeping them well graded, but that leads to lots of mud when it rains. I even bought my truck the same color (we call it Dixie dirt road) as the color match is perfect!
Back to the tires, yes they are Goodyear territory AT, but mud traction is poor at best, and they are already showing loss of tread at 10k miles. Yes, I rotate at every oil change, (2 so far), and they are wearing evenly, but the rubber compound is just soft. Maybe to increase pavement traction, or just to accelerate wear?
Had the same tires on my F150, which got to experience snow and ice, (also not great). and they were worn thin by 40k miles. I replaced with Michelin Defender LTX and the difference in overall performance was night and day, or should I say mud and snow! I still own that truck, and with almost 100K on those tires, run in all kinds of conditions, they still have good tread. Feel, traction and life, they were a great investment.
I figure by next summer, my Ranger will be also shod with them.

I have a '24 RR that has a little over 15,000 miles so far (purchased 12/24)! I've done a little bit of everything, hooning around in the snow last winter (on and offroad), buzzing around state trails when I can, long trip from Jersey to Missouri to Kentucky and then back, some pretty twisty, fun roads near home, plus a 150 mile round trip commute to work.

I have found it to be pretty great so far. Paint is pretty good, body panel gaps are fine, no squeaks or rattles that I was expecting just because it is a pickup truck, engine and transmission have been problem free and smooth (even without the software/hp upgrade).

One minor complaint is that the doors sound very tinny to my ears when I close them, especially with another door open; just not that satisfying "thunk" that I'm used to with some cars I've had recently. Couple occasions with an electrical gremlin (hood ajar would come on intermittently but I solved with "bumper" adjustment) and the occasional moment when my phone is hooked up via bluetooth and the sound just refuses to come through the speakers. Neither has been any more than a very, very minor annoyance though.

So for all the smiles, the ability to handle nearly any road or offroad condition I've thrown at it, the comfort on the longer trips, the looks, and even the exhaust note that is growing on me (I am a nice V8 snob in that regard), I really couldn't be happier. Okay, I REALLY would have liked to have ventilated seats for the NJ summers, but what's summer without your t-shirt sticking to you once in a while?

I have owned my XLT 2.7L for almost 5 months now and I have the same experience as you OP.
The truck runs fine. I have always really liked the look of this generation of the Ranger, and upon inspection I think that Ford did a good job with it. My only complaint really is that the rear seats sometimes don’t stay up when you flip them upwards.
My family has always had good luck with Ford, my dad had a 2005 F-150 for 15 years and over 180k miles on it. Back when Mercury was still a thing, we also had a Montego sedan. It was quite the trooper - also was a 2005 and it lasted 17 years and over 230k miles.

Mechanically it seems fine, and the interior is fine for the price, with only a few creaky areas on the door panel, which all American cars seem to have. There are some engineering mistakes, but only one is offensive; and that's the exposed, flimsy sensors on the trailing arms. That's just plain lazy.

Overall build quality seems fine, as well.

From an electronic perspective, however, it's nowhere near where it needs to be. That's a problem, because it's a heavily computerized vehicle. It's closer to the Starship Enterprise than a conventional automobile.

From the show, the Enterprise is supposed to be 90% automated, with crew engineers only able to directly access about 10% of the ship's systems. Sound familiar? 🤣

If the ownership experience was smooth sailing, it would be a no-brainer purchase. It's already the best value on the market, given how loaded it is. The only thing it's missing is cooled seats.

You can fix every creak in the door panel super easily. My window switch creaked when you pressed down on it which I fixed reinstalling it with some felt tape. There was also a creak in the plastic I fixed just covering it on the inside with some sound deadener. One of the first things I do in new cars is hunt down and fix all the creaks and rattles :p, because they come no matter how much you pay.

They don't make them for the size you require.
Sizes for: Michelin Defender LTX M/S

What size do I require?
Dealer told me for future tire upgrades I can go to 265/70/R17 31.9" without fender mods, but I would have sworn I have 18 inch wheels. Hmmmmm.....
