I wired mine the same way and hadn't noticed that, but I will double check and get back to you. If it dims, it doesn't dim much. With this wiring, I DO recommend turning off the wink with forscan though otherwise the drl will go off with your turn signal.
Thanks for that.
I turned off the DRL wink as soon as I bought the truck 😊
Would you have any photos of how the harness is wired?
Thanks.

Maybe I misunderstood the setup you are thinking of, but I just used a positap and linked it to the drl wire on my left headlight. Super simple. Ran the wires under the plastic veilance under the hood. If you are running three or four lights, there is a lot of extra wire in the F150LEDs harness so I had to bundle that all up with a zip tie and hide it behind the headlight. Didnt unplug the headlight or anything.

How did you connect the grille LED’s to this harness?
Did you have to remove the connector from the SPV harness or was it compatible with the fitting on the LED harness?
Cheers.
They sell a plug to connect to their adapter that is bare wire on the end

The connecters on my lights and SPV adapter were not compatible. I cut the ends off both and added an inline fuse.

I wired my grill lights to my side marker lights, and then used Forscan to enable the side markers to come on with the DRLs. It works great. I also wired the amber backlight portion of my fogs to the same circuit . It looks really good when you unlock the truck.?
When you mentioning wiring them to the side markers, do you mean the fuse for the side markers or directly to the side marker lights? Sorry if this is a dumb question, trying to do this myself

I popped off the side marker light on the drivers side, and used T Tap Connectors to splice into the line that powers the markers. Very easy to do. They just make the Forscan modification.

I installed my signature lux grille lights. Powered them with the SPV headlight harness. They came out great.
Lux Led
SPV Headlight Harness
The SPV harness came with the tap on pin 3 (DRL@5v), I switched it to pin 9 (marker lights@12v). My marker lights are always on along with the grille lights.
I am about to take on this project and wanted to confirm before ordering parts. Along with the Amber Grille lights you ordered these SPV parts?
1 x SPV Parts Harness System 2024-2025 Ranger (Raptor) LED Headlight Parking/Headlight Connector Adapter
1 x SPV Parts SINGLE Pole WP Add On Connectors

Did you also change the Tap on Pin location? From Pin3 to Pin9. Is this necessary? What is the benefit?

Pin#9 ECU Side Marker

Pin #9 is the marker lights, which has a constant 12V and comes on with the marker lights/headlights. (Forscan can make it always on)
Pin #3 is DRL which is always on but does dim/reduce voltage.

I switched the pin to #9 because I wanted full 12V and switched with the marker lights.
If you contact SPV they will send you the connector with the pin in the location you prefer.

Thanks for that info maybe I'll do the custom harness also, but the harness and the add on connector I linked is all that is needed then, correct?

Perhaps having it dim with the Driving Lights isn't such a bad thing. They dim as the headlights are turned on iirc. I planned on doing the Driving Light Amber board swap at the same time as the Raptor Grille lights. Is there a Forscan adjustment that can change the % of dimming that occurs?

Initially I chose the SPV harness because it piggybacked off the headlights connector. Is there a benefit of the SPV harness over the F150leds harness that piggybacks off the side markers? Or really its just another way.

Didn’t know about the F150 part.
You can easily reach in and disconnect the headlight harness without taking anything apart.
I just got the harness and cut the connector off and soldered on a twist together inline fuse.
I don’t much more about forscan.
