Right... be that as it may... DM me the link lolI think it's probably not legal
this is my experience as well. i had a 2020 lariat and traded it in for a 2025 lariat and before i did i read a lot of posts complaining about this alert. i was thinking, gee that would be annoying but it wasn't enough to stop me from buying a 2025. i had my 2025 since mid august and have not had this warning even once. i also have lane keeping assist on at all times (mine is set to alert only...maybe that matters?)I don't think I've ever seen the 'Hands on wheel' warning, even when use lane assist.
What I have seen is the Driver Alert Warning that says Rest Recommended. Driver Alert uses the front camera. That alert can be turn off.
maybe that is why i have never seen this alerttheres so many potholes in my area, theres no way to hold the steering wheel steady enough to get the warning

I've posted it in another thread, so please look for it.Right... be that as it may... DM me the link lol
I just turn off lane assist
I never understand why people want all that electronic crap on their truck. I bought an XL model which has none of that stuff and I'm quite pleased with it. Let's ME drive, .....NOT the computerWord

Here in Europe, all of that is mandatory not optional, however "keep your hands on steering wheel" alert is NOT mandatory. That is why would be great to get rid of it.I never understand why people want all that electronic crap on their truck. Check out the Service bulletin of April 2024 (24-7034) on this issue tells you all the needed information to adjust!/disable, etc...I have a 2025 Ranger Lariat 2.7. I am frequently getting the "hands on wheel" alert. I had this on my 2021 Ridgeline but the Ranger is much more sensitive and therefore more frequent if I don't have both hands on the wheel at the right place. It is annoying to me. I tried some strips of Velcro on the wheel thinking there must be a pressure sensitive sensor involved. It may have helped a little. But it is still too frequent for me. I appreciate the safety intent but it is not like I am driving with my knee. The system seems to want both hands in a specific place. Has anybody found a work around?
This doesn't tell me "all I need to know". What is this saying? That it's fixed? That it's broken? Thanks...Check out the Service bulletin of April 2024 (24-7034) on this issue tells you all the needed information to adjust!/disable, etc...
