That is correct. All dealerships are not created equally and dealers can go months without getting one. Long McArthur’s YouTube channel has a series about scheduling that always explains how the system works at the beginning.

I've been messaging with the dealership this morning and apparently they can't enter the 25 order. It needs to be a 26 and it's 1,000 more. Right now they do not have an allocation for a 26 RR.

I was asking them all these questions on Friday when I was there and now this happens. Man I hate dealerships.

I thought the order bank was closed for 2025s when they took your order last Friday , for a 25.
‘I would say only way that could have possibly worked would have been putting in for edits to an existing order, that was scheduled but not yet built.
Good news is there is what Looks like potentially 72 blue ones for sale in the US.

I thought the order bank was closed for 2025s when they took your order last Friday , for a 25.

They guy was like there's no 26 on the website so we can't order it. This dealer usually gets allocations for Raptors so I'm hoping it won't take 6 months to get.

2026 builds begin in January

I am figuring the same time frame as you are in NJ and I am in PA

Do you know where the RR's are built at? My 25 Maverick came from Mexico.

Ranger, Ranger Raptors, and Broncos, Bronco Raptors for US sales are all built in the US at Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan.

That all sounds very odd to me.

One their orders are not done through public website so the fact you can't build and price or see any details on there for the 2026 Ranger right now is not indicative of rather the 2026 order bank is open.

The 2026 order guides came out a couple weeks ago, pretty much the same time the 2026 Order bank opened right after the 2025 order bank closed.

Not all that unusual that a sales person really does not know much of anything about how it all works. MOst don't know beans about the vehicles they are selling either.
It's typically management that is in charge of all of the ordering part of the process.

You can learn a lot more about the order process then most people probably care about, from this dealer KS that pretty much gives out all the details on how ordering a vehicle works and even gives weekly updates on plant schedules product constraints all sorts of production news that only the dealers get notifications on. It's really a well trusted and very informative Ford vehicle channel.

Just FYI, they don't have the order bank open for both prior (2025 MY) and next model year (2026 model year) models at the same time.

The 2026 order bank is the one that is open for new orders not the 2025 my.

Thanks. I've watched plenty of Tim's videos. I discovered him back in 2021 when I was ordering my first Maverick. He's a great resource to learn from. I even showed a dealer his videos of explaining how ordering was supposed to work haha.

I've never bought a car from this new dealer I am working with. They seemed nice and willing to work with me. I think it was the fact they were learning about the 26's at the same time I was. It's all good now. I got my email from Ford and that was my main concern. I can always reach out to Ford once there is a production start date.

Yeah, I understand that, which is why asked. OP states their dealer does not have an allocation, but they ordered anyway. Seems a weird way to just do nothing. But what do I know?

It's not that weird, they just entered into the dealer's pool for one. When I ordered mine in April, I was not the only order on the books at my local dealer waiting for an allocation.

So I received an email from Ford confirming the order. Does that email have anything to do with an allocation? Could I just be waiting months and months to get a build date?

Hot shot transporting is very common and not all that expensive typically $1.50 a mile give or take .25 Cents.

It shows in transit to the dealership. Always a good time to buy, while it’s still in transit.
