Is anyone running one of these on their 6G Ranger? I have found a myriad of differing detail of what these things fit. One site says it fits '19-'26. Another says up to '23. Ford's website has one that indicates it is specific to the '24+, but it is more than double the price (??). It seems it is dependent on who I ask at Bestop on what will/will not fit.

I'm looking to put one on my '25 Raptor. I've found a decent deal on one locally, but the SKU could or could not fit my truck depending on where I look. I had originally planned for a Softopper, but I don't like the idea of velcro holding the rear flap to the tail gate. From what I can tell, the Bestop offering seems to be more typical of a Jeep soft top that engages with rails?

I had thought Softopper was the way I was going to go until I saw the rear flap, well, flapping and going over the tailgate. I may be completely wrong on that, but it seems like it wasn't a solid solution and felt a bit piecemeal.

I went with Flated, I got their topper but not the tall one and I’ve had it on my truck for 4 days so far so good and hardly any water intrusion and it looks good on the truck and it’s super easy to get on and off and it’s sturdy enough for me to stand on top and put tools on

Flated is an interesting concept, but I'm not sure that it's the right fit for me. Thanks!

I had a Softopper on a 4G Ranger for over 10 years. It was in good shape
after many years. Amazed it never tore a button snap from fabric. I did keep it in an under ground parking lot. The flap on the tail gate was not a problem. Some people cannot figure out how it locks in with zippers and pole, so just double check. At the front they do get pushed in from the wind. Had strong magnets to hold in place. A zipper handle did brake. i see you can replace those.
There's no safety with these. No way of locking. Never had it slashed or broken into. I just considered for every day use not to leave any thing expensive in the Bed. The fold down feature is important to me. Want the option of putting things tall or wide in bed, ie motorcycle, large mattress. I would recommend it. I will look at the other fold up canopy's and compare again. Softopper has an enticing sale until Dec 1, 15% off and free shipping. Thinking of a Tan one for my marsh gray XLT.

softopper is a great company. after how they took care of my wrangler top when the neighbors garage burned down and melted my passenger side windows, which they replaced for free and shipped for free, i cannot say enough good things.

my jeep top was totally worth buying and having. well made, quiet, fit great, and the customer service was unbelievable

Ok, just locked at the Flatted option, does not have the frame fold down feature.
Yes the Bestop is confusing if they offer it for the 2024 and up Ranger. Prices all over the place. On Bestop site there is no topper for the 6G Ranger.
I never put the Velcro on the tail gate. i did not find it abraded the paint.
I think i would try the Bestop if I could get it close to the price of the Softopper and was confident it was available. Fas-top has one. I see the Fas-top when folded down looks like it will not allow a motorcycle front tire to go right to the front. Not sure if you can lift that up. I see can undo the clipps and remove the topper. Will research this one a bit more. Seems reasonably priced.

It's been difficult at best to get the right response from Bestop. It's interesting to see competing market with the same company seeing that Bestop owns Softopper (and Baja Designs, and sPOD, and Tuffy, and...)

I have a Bestop SuperTop for Truck 2 (the version with interchangeable soft top and tonneau) from a 5G truck on my '24 XLT and I did a post on it here. I was able to make it fit, but the internal bed rail width is wider on our trucks than the 5G was which caused some clamping issues (also a weld nut was in the way of the "center" clamp).

Clamp area challenges

Circled area should be over the rail cap

So short answer, the 5G version is definitely not designed to fit our trucks but can. I've had my topper/tonneau on for over a year now without any issues (aside from water/dust ingress which is a problem in general on these trucks regardless of topper/tonneau).

Seems like this answers the question! Thank you...

The Fas-top has an interesting option. Canopy + Tonneau cover. Coupon Code to just cover shipping.
May buy the Softopper, save almost $500. It is discounted till Dec 1. I will see if any deals will come up before that for Fas-top.

Which ever company you choose, resister and send them a message. Its the end of the year.
If Fas top gives me free shipping and 10% off i will buy theirs. Accessories get expansive when converted to CND dollars. I just order things to Point Roberts WA and cross boarder. Its a strange piece of land that can only be accessed by road from Canada. Have to go through a boarder check in and out. Cross over for 20 minutes and cross back over. Going to get myself a US dollar CC, so i do not have to pay the 3% fee, just the conversion.
