In a previous post i spoke about how the Dearborn Michigan ford factory did not produce Ford quality. I just received my truck from for certified body shop and the supplement was $9,000 dollars. the shop and i went over damages before and we found more damages then previous thought. run marks in paint multiple panels , overspray on fenders doors, dirt in paint tailgate ,missing paint lower rear cab. Ford was difficult to speak with they outsource to manila as most companies do and they have no clue of the needs of the American consumer when it comes to these issues, needles to say truck is back it looks ok and satisfactory for a future trade in. folks look your new units over carefully when receiving them. the shinier it is the more it hides. I have learned a valuable lesson i will never purchase a new vehicle again. every auto manufacture is having quality issues. Buyer beware.

Yes… they are all having quality issues and have priced the average working American out of reach. Those of you with 60+ month loans can’t afford the vehicle…

Loan length has absolutely nothing to do with affordability.

It's sad that you had a bad experience. This just makes a good case to really inspect your vehicle at the dealer before driving off. However in most cases the excitement level is so high we tend to look over the vehicle quickly and drive off. I disagree with you on the shiny part however try owning a black vehicle you will see everything. In my case my Ranger was almost perfect. There was a little rash on the tailgate that I was able to buff out. If you like you Ranger I would not be so fast to trade it in. You did say you would never buy another new vehicle again. So you would trade it for a used vehicle? Your truck looks good now. :)

That’s an interesting statement… a shorter loan tends to generate a lower interest rate and lower payments. But I practice law and not a financial advisor.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I purchased a 2025 Ranger Lariat 2.7L, Ive noticed the inside of the box up front in the corners its not sealed. I have a tri-fold hard topper and I can see light coming in when the front corners. Rain can get in while driving. Neighbor noticed it on his Ranger too. Anybody else noticed that?

There are several message threads that not only discuss it but also provide a step-by-step guide on how to fix it.

Welcome to the forum!

So...If I take out a 36-month loan at almost twice the monthly payment I can now afford it?? Lets say I could walk in and pay cash tomorrow. If I choose to take out a 72-month loan at 4.6% and let those funds continue making 11% does that mean I can't afford it? Your quote "Those of you with 60+ month loans can't afford this vehicle..."

I think you’ve got that a tad wrong. 0% for 36 months will be a higher payment than 4.9% for 60 months no matter how you slice it.

Here's a pic of my previous post I was talking about. It's on both front corners. Gentleman I talked to said engineers don't have an answer.

Not so, it’s based on the amount financed, if you finance 40k at 0 or 18k at 4.9, the 36 will be more. That said this thread has been hijacked!
