Anyone else like pizza cutter tires, ie tall and narrow? I'm wondering what's the tallest 255 that will fit an XLT stock ride height and 17's? 255/80R17 which are basically 33's? Thinking functionality over looks, even though tall skinny tires still look good to me.

Did a Google search and it looks like they may not work without a leveling kit.

Also a fan of pizza cutters. I will be going with 255/75R17 when it comes time to replace the OEM tires. My problem with 255/80R17, even if they did fit, is that all the available tires in that size are 10-ply and very heavy.

That's another decision, to decide between SL and a C or D. I think SL is a better ride but weaker sidewalls. For any towing I think at least a C, maybe D?

PIzza cutters perform. End of story

Had them on my old yota and I can't tell you how many times larger, newer, and far more expensive trucks had to tap out while I just kept going past them on many mountain trails up here.

Better choice for winter also: weight concentrated in a smaller footprint = better traction as well as not riding up in deeper snow.

I'm sticking with narrower tires. Saw a youtube video and the contract patch when aired down was better as well. Wide looks cool, but I'm practicool.

Is 255 considered 'pizza cutter'? That's a 10-inch-wide tire.

Good point. I was looking at staying with the factory width but taller instead of taller and wider like many do for looks. I wonder what sizes some of the pizza cutter guys are running. 225? When I look up 225s they are all E, or 10 ply rated.
