So all I would need for a 1.5-2" leveling is to install the coil-overs which would replace the existing struts, use Forscan to re-calibrate the ride height and get an alignment? Then if I decide to adjust the height at a later date how hard is it, can it be done with the coil overs in place?
IIRC, ride height adjustment is only on Lariat and Raptor. I put in a 2 1/2" level kit on my XLT. Just had to manually adjust the headlights and get an alignment.
Most of the struts are adjustable without removing from the vehicle.

as long as they have a steel body, you can adjust on the truck, just lift it with the jack to take some preload off and a can of wd40.
the alloy body foxes- 2.0 and the 2.5 need to be taken off and thrown in a strut compressor, or you will blow the threads off. seen the aftermath of not doing that hahaha.

Good info I didn't know. Thanks.

I think this means that the projector headlamps can be readjusted in forscan, but the reflector headlights need to be adjusted manually like old-fashioned headlights. The absence of the option in forscan for the reflectors does not mean that they don't need to be adjusted.

Agreed. when I put the 2 1/2" level on my truck, I had to manual adjust the headlights. Pretty easy task, takes about 10 minutes.

Do you have anything I can reference on how you did this? I'll probably be doing this in the near future. I've only done this before on an 04 Ranger 😅

This vid is for the 5G Ranger, but it's very similar on the 6G.

This one shows how to measure for headlight adjustments.

Has anyone installed the fox 2.5 performance elite shocks on their ranger yet? I’m considering them for leveling the front on my xlt.

Also interested in anyone’s experience. Particularly on a 24 Lariat 1.5“ level only as it relates to Forscan/headlight changes? what would need to be done after the hardware install?

Thanks!

I was assuming the headlights would adjust themselves since they are self leveling. Just an assumption but I see the projectors dancing around on my garage wall when they go on.

Do they come to level eventually though?
they do a little “self test dance” when you turn the truck on - I assume every time, but only noticeable when pointed at a solid object and dark (ish).
would the 1.5 leveling kit only require headlight adjustment? (Other than the springs etc, and an alignment…). I’d sort of be fine with my headlights blasting out a few degrees higher than stock, notwithstanding the people I might piss off in passing…🤣

I am assuming yes. I thought the purpose they leveled was if you had a load in the bed the lights would level and not shoot high. There may be a limit for how much they are able to adjust. We need someone who lifted their truck to respond. Assumptions usually get me in trouble...lol.
