So what do you think of the RR, coming from the Jeep?
Where does one start? While I really liked my Jeep, I'm not looking back. That Jeep took me to Colorado several times, Utah twice, NC, GA, KY, and VA for 16 months. It got me to Top of the World for my last run in Utah. Did Colorado and Utah with an ol' Army buddy who brought his RR. I was impressed and realized it could do what I want to do. Plus as an only four-wheel vehicle, the RR is a better vehicle. I'm over boring pick-up trucks (after four previous trucks over 26 years) and the RR adds some excitement.

Any driving over 30 minutes, and I was wearing hearing protection. If not, my tinittis would be raging afterwards. I don't miss the straight axle driving, but sure liked it off-road. My JLUWX had a factory lift, 35in tires, and 4.56 gear which is a perfect set-up. I was also over the under-powered 3.6l V6 engine. The 8-speed transmission is nearly perfect though.

Both vehicles took on scrapes--especially in Utah. My bud's RR wears trail rash proudly on the front skid plate.

Forming a CO/UT plan for next year now and refining over the winter. Hopefully the Raptor Assault Course fits in the timeline. Then, I'll be exploring new to me territory Utah.

On the horizon is a 35in tire possibility and configuration changes to best support those 35's.

Well, I joined the Shelter Green Club on 12/12/25. Spray-in liner, keypad, base rims. Just ordered an ARE shell to keep my hunting/beach/fishing gear secure. Camper shell should be here in 8 weeks.

SGM represent!

I love the colors this things shows in various lighting. I will say, it shows dirt and dust a lot more than I anticipated. I wash it. A lot.

That is my ONLY gripe with SGM color. The dirt / dust factor. I suggest Rokblockz XL mudflaps and some ceramic coat to help keep it clean for longer and easier post-dust/must cleanup.

To anyone who has removed their side-steps without replacing them with sliders, I HIGHLY recommend large mud-flaps, the KO3's will kill your rockers and rear fender in short order.

I forget who, but another member on this forum has two white RR's, a his and hers. The 24' was his first and he removed the side steps, within that first year the entire rear render was peppered in rock chips, both the plastic and the painted steel.

You're probably thinking of @cc1999 on this post

Yeah I want to remove mine but I took a road trip to Texas the week I got the truck, and went down some gravel roads and the constant clinking from rocks hitting the side steps made me realize I would probably regret it.

XL mudflaps work well, I just swapped out the OE Ford ones for Rokblokz XL's and am happy with the added coverage, especially once the wider offset 705's finally ship (+35mm). But after the wheels, eventually some angled GOAT fab sliders, so between the XL flaps and sliders, should be a good balance of coverage and clearance. Might modify the bottom 4" of the XL flaps with some rubber for harder trails though so I don't tear on off on a rock shelf, but for street use, gravel / dirt roads and the sand dunes, they are great the way they are.

Can you post a front-view, and rearview image of the Rokblokz XLs mounted on your Raptor?
