¿Por qué no los dos?

Seriously, we're in the market for an SUV this size. Right now, the only thing doing it for us is the Lexus GX550 Overtrail+. But we're on a waiting list for it with a ton of other people. We considered the 4Runner, with which I think the Everest compares perfectly. Unfortunately, the 4Runner engine kills it for me. The Everest in a Tremor or better yet Raptor trim would be sitting in my garage next to the Ranger.

No

But I feel for a lot of people, an Everest would be a better fit.

I feel like trucks have been neutered to make them carry more people.

I saw a gx550 on the road yesterday, looked nice.

I’d be interested in one. It wouldn’t replace the Ranger because it’s not a truck, but we need more 4Runner competitors. Plenty of people want a BOF mid-size SUV with good off-road capability.
I think the Everest would dominate the 4Runner based on new 4Runner reviews. Obscene pricing, cheap interior, harsh ride are all attributes of the new 4Runner.

Yeah, it really feels phoned in, doesn’t it? I’ve also just never gotten along with Toyotas, even though we’ve owned four of them. I respect them, but I don’t really like them. I drove a 4th Gen Tacoma for 1,500 miles recently and it was…. fine. I think Toyota has been coasting on its reputation for the past decade.

I had a brand new last generation 4 runner as a rental car. I was not impressed and I’m a Toyota guy.

to me building the Everest would make a lot of sense since it has a lot of commonality with the bronco and Ranger.

there has also been rumors of a for bronco pickup.

i wonder what the new built ford rough truck or trucks will be in 2029 that was announced with the demise of the f150 lightning.

and there is the ev midsize truck for 2027 that is coming

Toyota interiors always leave me looking for options, even if I like the ride. They are so cheaply made and designed. The new 4R hybrids really messed up as it relates to space in the rear. Such a turnoff, combined with their over-inflated pricing. I'd buy the Everest in a heartbeat.

I would not. If I want another four-door SUV, I'd get another Wrangler. One with a V8 that is.

Kind of like apples and oranges for me. Yes the same frame and front end, but you either want a third seat or a truck bed? Different strokes for different folks. If I did not want the bed, I probably would be ok with an explorer Tremor today!

For me,the truck bed is more useful than having more interior space/storage

I gave up waiting for Ford to pull their head out of their ass, and just made my own . lol 😂
Or as close as I could get to a US Everest.

Absolutely, I think Ford needs to bring the Everest to the US market.

Saw something very interesting tonight on YT from a fairly trusted source that we may see a Lincoln version of the Bronco. Which smells a lot like a Luxury version of the Everest. Which the Everest , Bronco, and Ranger are all on the same platform.
Anyone else think this could be sign that at least some sort of Everest might finally be coming to the US.

Have zero interest in an Everest. I drive a truck because I need a truck. Can’t load 40 bags of mulch in an Everest. Would necessitate using my trailer. Don’t need a 3rd row seating, I have owned the truck 20 months and haven’t had anyone in the second row yet.
