Proving @some_guy is wrong that you need an XLT to get a prettier truck. Tires and wheels make all the difference in the look.

OK? I dont really understand what you people are complaining about. You are mad that a no frills work truck looks like a no frills work truck.

they all look like work trucks. thats what trucks are, for work. even though people use them for cars and to be mall crawlers.

either way, i like the base model, and i like the higher trims. i do wish you could actually pick options instead of packages though. an xl with heated seats and a v6 would be nice. no miniature sliding rear window, no extra sensors, no extra frills, just a trUck. even just the v6 in all the trims would be nice. my other ranger, an 04, is also an xl trim but its got a v6. its still got a 5 speed and roller windows and manual locks too. its about as great as you could get back then.

You said, if you want a prettier truck, buy an XLT.
I said, just buy better wheels. No need to go the XLT route.
That's it, nothing more. Anybody outside of Ranger owners will never know the difference.

you can get alloy wheels on the xlt as an option, at least when I checked the 2026 as long as as you don't get the fx4 package for some reason

I have had steel wheels in the past, and I think they were fine.

people take perfectly good wheels of the xlt, raptorl, and lariat and buy new ones. if you are going to do that anyway, why not make it less expensive

exactly my thinking. why buy the top tier truck just to change the wheels, shocks, springs, bumpers, etc. just get the base model and buy that stuff and no one will know

I don't know why so many people are changing out their Raptor wheels, I think they look great.

Buying better wheels was always an option. People were complaining about Ford's offering of their stock wheels for the XL.

For me it was simply the +55 offset lacks the stance of a +30 offset Bronco wheel that looks about the same in design.
That reduced offset also gives the wheel some much needed depth the +55s RR wheel lacks.
‘I have always preferred a wheel with at least some depth to it.

I'm waiting for a local Raptor or Bronco owner to swap out their wheels, so that I can put them on my FX4. There are a few for sale, but shipping to Louisiana would be too costly.
