I am curious as to how many current Ranger owners will be tempted to upgrade from a Ranger XL/XLT/Lariat to the upcoming Tremor.

Based on what I'm hearing, which so far is limited, I don't see a huge reason to other than the esthetics. If there is an affordable front LS option, that would make me consider.

If you're considering delaying a purchase decision until the RT is released, I'd love to know what is driving that decision.

Highly considering...Have a Lariat FX4 now. The Raptor is just a little much as the truck is really just my daily. Tremor may be the sweet spot...hope they use 3.73 rear end and not 4.27...Love the 2.7 engine

From what I have seen with the current (2025) Tremor option is some decals and paint on the body, some extra stitching on the interior and a big addition to the sticker. (think profit for Ford)
I personally would get the XLT and add whatever other options you want and be happy. If you want a Tremor option, the body decals are available from a couple of sources.

There is currently no Ranger Tremor available in the US and little info on what it will be.

You could be correct -- dealers have a free hand once they receive a vehicle. Didn't take pictures but parked near a (want to be then) Ranger Tremor at the Daytona 500 this February.

We currently have a Raptor decal on our tailgate -- and it's just an option loaded 2025 Ranger XLT. We also had a Raptor decal on our 2019 XLT Ranger, but it also had the aftermarket Raptor grille installed.

It was similar with 5G. The only additional feature was that it came from factory with a level/lift and slightly larger tires. Things anybody can do for a lot less that Ford's markup.
Lot people disliked the decals and order one without.

I have a '24 Lariat FX4 with a 2.7. Assuming similar differences between the F150 FX4 package vs Tremor, I wouldn't switch.

The only valuable addition (for me) would be the front locking diff. But the different suspension and added weight from underside guards would result in reduced payload.

I like the front diff lock, but I NEED the payload.

An option for fewer creature comforts, like an XLT, but with the offroad specs of a Tremor would likely give me everything, but I don't think that setup will be possible.

I think the pricing would be too close to the Raptor for it to make sense.

But hopefully it would have a higher payload and towing capacity, while still having an upgraded suspension (Fox 2.0s).

I think I've exceeded the Tremor trim with mods on my FX4 XLT (and probably paid less than the upcharge). Tremor isn't for me, but a lot of people may find the upcharge worth it vs the headache and/or labor having to do things aftermarket. From my perspective, Tremor is a pretty niche trim on a lot of these trucks.

Nah. I’m super happy with my XL 4x4 that I paid $32.5K for. I could throw a quality lift kit on it and have all the capability I’d ever reasonably need, especially since it has a factory rear locker.

As far as I can tell, the Tremor will have the following differences to an FX4 (assuming spec is similar to Oz)

- Bilstein tuned suspension (?) with 1" more ground clearance (some of this may be due to the larger tires)
- upgraded 265/70r17 tires (vs 255/70r17)
- +45 offset wheels (vs +55)
- Aux switches
- Styling

If that's correct, then it would be a hard "no" for me. The one thing I'd want, a front diff lock or at least LS, wouldn't be included. In exchange, I'd get things I either don't want or wouldn't pay for.

Oz Tremor only has rear locking diff, same as FX4.

so you would be better off buying the xl and building it up? since the xl seems to all have the rear locker

My assumption was based on the fact that the F150 adds a limited slip in the front. The US spec Tremor may be like the F150 or like the Aussie Ranger. Apparently the Gen 5 Ranger Tremor did NOT come with an upgraded front diff, so my initial assumption is probably wrong.
