No specific cargo ... gas cans, boxes, outdoor power equipment, etc.

I've seen cargo nets, and cargo bars and various strap options.

What are you using to secure cargo to keep it from siding around? Anything you love and wouldn't be without?

Lots of people like bed rugs they can chime in. I've never used them.

I have a cargo net, it's stretchy and secures everything decently.

If you are creative and ambitious, t-slot can work. This is what I've done. T-slot and some hardware from McMaster-Carr and the 2in aluminum from Lowe's. The longitudinal rails can be positioned in the center two bed floor slots.

Not in the first picture, there are now two M6 bolts and riv-nuts for the rear horizontal rail.

I've used the stretchy cargo net, but I used two of them for better strength because I didn't want to take any chances of losing my gear while headed out camping.

I don’t think that there is any one single perfect option. I have a line-x spray in liner with a Michelin bed mat on top of it. I think thatwill do a good job of protecting the bed and minimizing some stuff from sliding around. Ratchet straps are useful, but the anchor points in the bed are way too low for a lot of cargo. The ratcheting poles work good for lighter cargo, if you don’t have to spread the inner bed panels to get them snug enough. I’ve kicked around the idea of adding molle panels which could give versatility of anchoring points for ratchet straps or parachute cord.

I use ratchet straps and the cargo hooks. I don't think any mat will stop things from moving if you have to hit the brakes hard. Usually it keep the bed fairly loaded with stuff so it just sort of stays put.

There’s no single good answer. Sometimes I use a cargo net while other times I use straps. For ratchet straps I like the kind with a clasp on the hook part to keep the one side attached while working on the other side.

Interesting idea! Looks like you put quite a bit of thought into it!
What size are the screws on the vertical walls near the tailgate? 8mm?
I have been trying to come up with crossbar that runs across the floor at the base of the tailgate support my kayak. I thought I could secure it using the threaded holes on the vertical walls

The lower pair on each side are M8x1.00. The smaller one up high is M6x1.00

I have a cargo net in front of my tailgate for towels and my snowbrush when needed. I have a 2×4 I cut for behind the wheel well keeps things from sliding forward.

I have a net in front of the tailgate and then a bed mat so stuff doesnt slide. If i have to secure larger stuff, i have two cargo nets that fit the bed and i also have ratchet straps under the back seat.

I am also going to add a tailgate extender

Man i love that sky blue color, I was itching to buy and the only options available on the lot were black and gray. I would have taken white, but my first choice was that sky blue, looks great.

Me too. We were considering mayyybe getting an RR, I wanted Shelter Green but my wife didn't like it. I showed her a listing for Azure Gray, she was Oooh I like that! Clicked Buy It Now....
Actually my second choice was bright red, but I really do like the Azure Gray.... Gets lots of compliments. I would've taken work truck white if that's what it took to get her to buy in..... (Actually probably not..)

Yep, i used to have set of 4 of those Husky 1" or 1.5" black & red ratchet straps that are exactly as you describe, rubberized coated metal, hook on one end. I used them for everything heavier/bulkier. They were $20 a set from Home Depot, great buy. I dont know where they are now.
