I dropped the blind nut and spent an hour with an inspection mirror and telescopic magnet to retrieve it from inside the fender.

Had that happen to me. I called them and they sent me a new one.

It works really well yes, but where I live the wind can gust at times and take your hood all the way back to the windshield. I try to always use a bungee cord to keep that
Wind in Houston? Okay then.

Put these on my wife and daughters RR's. Are they a must have maybe not but it's nice to not mess around with the prop rod or have to work around it as well as the struts open the hood up a little further then what the prop rod does.

100 bucks on Amazon and I had them delivered and installed the day after I ordered them. Easy peasy install. I put the same kit on my Jeep Wrangler for all the same reasons. For me it was easily worth the time and money but if you don't ever open the hood much or work on your own stuff I can see how you wouldn't find any value in it.

I'm sure not an issue but I'll ask anyway. Seeing that one (at least me) has to drop the hood from a height in order for it to latch, no issues with the Redline?

I've yet to have a vehicle newer than my 2016 VW that had prop rods.

I've also yet to spend so much time with the hood up that it mattered. The luxury of owning newer vehicles means that I don't spend a bunch of time fixing/replacing/maintaining them.
🤷‍♂️

I haven’t had any issues closing the hood with the struts installed.

My reason would be that I tend to keep my hood opened a lot in the garage. Live out in the sticks and even with traps and a barn cat we get mice. Mice like enclosed dark places so I tend to keep hood open when I park.
Opening and closing with prop rod is a pain if one does it often.

I’ve had zero issues. Also, peppermint oil spray is your friend against rodents.

Has anyone who installed Redline struts had any issues with their operation? I put them on my Maverick and the hood wouldn't open properly. I wound up taking them off.

I've put them on two RR's and my Jeep Wrangler. Had them on my Jeep for a couple years now and they've worked perfectly fine with zero issues.

I have them on my RR and the wife's Bronco Sport Badlands (essentially identical to a Mavrick under the hood) with Zero Issus's. Are you sure you had the correct set?
