I dropped the blind nut and spent an hour with an inspection mirror and telescopic magnet to retrieve it from inside the fender.
Had that happen to me. I called them and they sent me a new one.

Wind in Houston? Okay then.It works really well yes, but where I live the wind can gust at times and take your hood all the way back to the windshield. I try to always use a bungee cord to keep that
Have you grabbed that prop rod with your bare hand after an hour of travel in the summertime?I fail to see why using the existing prop rod is such a hardship. But that's just me....
Cheap, simple installation, and the first time you open the hood without using the prop rod.... GOLD!I fail to see why using the existing prop rod is such a hardship. But that's just me....
I haven’t had any issues closing the hood with the struts installed.I'm sure not an issue but I'll ask anyway. Seeing that one (at least me) has to drop the hood from a height in order for it to latch, no issues with the Redline?
I’ve had zero issues. Also, peppermint oil spray is your friend against rodents. My reason would be that I tend to keep my hood opened a lot in the garage. Live out in the sticks and even with traps and a barn cat we get mice. Mice like enclosed dark places so I tend to keep hood open when I park.
Opening and closing with prop rod is a pain if one does it often.
I've put them on two RR's and my Jeep Wrangler. Had them on my Jeep for a couple years now and they've worked perfectly fine with zero issues.Has anyone who installed Redline struts had any issues with their operation? I put them on my Maverick and the hood wouldn't open properly. I wound up taking them off.
Thanks. I'm going to give them another shot.I've put them on two RR's and my Jeep Wrangler. Had them on my Jeep for a couple years now and they've worked perfectly fine with zero issues.
I have them on my RR and the wife's Bronco Sport Badlands (essentially identical to a Mavrick under the hood) with Zero Issus's. Are you sure you had the correct set?Has anyone who installed Redline struts had any issues with their operation? I put them on my Maverick and the hood wouldn't open properly. I wound up taking them off.
