Hey yall! A bit overdue but I finally picked up my 2026 Ford Ranger XLT 2.7L in Marsh Grey two days ago. Been loving it so far! Let me get the bad out of the way though...

1. Passenger headlamp did not work. Took it back to dealer and they found a bent pin from the factory and fixed. Shocked that wasn't checked at the plant!
2. Tailgate misalignment causing tailgate to not latch or open properly. Fixed it myself by adjusting the latch stud.
3. Headlamps misaligned from factory. Fixed myself by following steps in manual and using vertical adjuster.

Shocked to have so many issues but hoping that is it! Luckily my dealership has been so awesome to work with and very accommodating.

Anyway, I took off work for the rest of the week and got to work on installing some accessories:

  • Realtruck Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover
  • Weathertech floor mats
  • Ranger black tailgate letters from Tuffskinz
  • 4Dtech auto stop eliminator
  • Stubby antenna from Cravenspeed
  • Ranch Road cargo box
  • Infotainment screen protector from OCD Plug
  • Boomba BOV

Lots of fun with these! I attached a few photos. Word of caution on the Ranch Road cargo box though: they list it as having a width of 48", and the Ranger has a width between wheel wells of 48.2" My plan was to have it running left to right at the back of the bed toward the bulkhead, but it doesn't fit! Found the box is actually 48.5" wide... Contacted Ranch Road but they didn't really have much to say about it. Hopefully they update their specs.

The Bakflip is really nice and wasn't hard to install. Took me 1 hour 15 minutes just taking my time and having fun doing it. Did do a rain test with a hose and got water in the back along both sides of the bed, but I assume that is inevitable.

I'll also be installing the Rival 4x4 Radiator and Engine skid plates tomorrow! Will post back with photos on that.

Loving having a truck! This thing is amazing. My first commute to work I got 22 MPG which was exciting. Unfortunately, since then I have been driving it more spirited and how I normally drive, and it's dropped to a whopping 16 MPG... ouch. Is what it is!

Nice! Looking. Atleast you got the stuff out of the way. Although dealer should have cought on PDI list. As far as water in bed there’s manufacturer holes in each corner of front and smaller ones in m middle. My plan is to put flex seal tapes to water proof. Not fun when going to car wash with stuff In bed.

Welcome to the group!

That truck looks great and hopefully will be without issue for the rest of the time you have it.

How easy was it to install the 4Dtech auto stop eliminator. The video looks straight forward but you never know with these things.

Funny, lot of people on here saying they gave up and returned it. I don't have the biggest hands but I'm a 6 foot dude and could get in there fine. With the help of the YouTube video it literally took me 4 minutes! I timed it 😂

Nice set up!
"Do you even lift, bro?" You have already done a lot. Are you planning on a level/lift?
Water is most likely getting in thru the 'stake pockets' on the top of the bed rails

I had a long 3 months of waiting for my order to buy accessories, plan out projects, and day dream 😂 also took off a half week just to have fun with the thing!

Won't be doing a lift. I come from the Subaru world so this thing is perfectly high enough for me!

Another storm today where it rained pretty hard for an hour.

Post rain here are the results. Not terrible.

Dude, most dealers don't do a PDI anymore. It's pathetic
