Btw, towards the front of the bed is two large holes. One in each corner. I shoved a tennis ball in each one of them. Redneck engineering!

if you’re talking about the two rounded corner pieces at the corners I used the same Amazon edge strip to add about 1/16” in length.
Now, with all that said, my bed is not waterproof but pretty much dust proof.
the stake pockets still leak because my tonneau party covers them and I don’t want to remove the cover to seal them. I think I’m going to try to use a caulk gun of silicone from underneath and see if that works.

Those rubber grommets were a chore. I have a little arthritis in my hands so when I was done I needed 3+3 therapy. 3 Advil + 3 fingers of scotch!!
I'm talking about the piece that is vertical comming down from the rail. Looka about 4 or 5" long and about 1" wide.
For all your help, If I knew how to get ahold of you I would like to take you out for some brew. Wife & I may be comming to your area to tour your wine country.

No - I have the Keko kit installed and like it very much!. It's that short strip to the right of the Keko comming down from under your tonneau rail. Thats the piece I need to seal the opening at the very top of the tailgate gap. Its the one area the Keko seal does not reach.

By the way - talk about redneck - the best Ford tailgate I ever had was made out of 2x12 lumber, a couple of gate hinges and an outhouse door lock! In the 60's those tailgates would rust off. This was my cure. When that gate was shut - nothing got out!

Oh, sorry. That is a chunk of the gasket material I didn’t need from the Keko kit since I have a bed rug. It’s an experiment. I think a 1/2” foam weather stripping would be best. I just didn’t have any of that.
You can do a lot of good with 2x12’s and a little duck tape!

There are all kinds of holes in the bed that let in dust. See pic as an example.
I tried to plug every one of them. Very tedious work but it seems to have paid off.

I feel like an idiot that I didn't think of that. Genius idea to buy rubber plugs! I know a lot of the holes are M6, but not seeing any larger kits on Amazon that have plugs smaller than M7. Which kit(s) did you order, and what sizes did you use?

Thanks.

Gary - You were right! Went to Lowes and bought 1"SQ expandable weatherstrip and it worked beautifully! It's comes compressed at about 1/4 or 1/2 on the roll but when it is cut and put into place it expands to 1" forming the perfect seal between the bottom of the Tonneau Cover frame and the side of the Keko bracket. I stuck a 2" long strip vertically on the side of the bed in back of, adjacent to, and against the Keko bracket so it could expand out - and a tad bit to the side. It formed a perfect seal. Decided not to go thru or put it in front of the bracket. It formed just as good of a seal looks a lot neater behind the bracket.

Would you mode taking a picture of that installed?

Here it is. At first glance it looks like the water would still get in - but the weather strip is up tight

A cheap ESI Ultimate Tailgate Seal from Amazon works perfectly for me—no dust or water ingress at all.
Can you post pictures and links ?

Got this kit because it was affordable. Despite a review saying it wasn’t compatible with the 2024 Ranger, I tried it, and it works. Installed it where it seemed best, and now the dust problem in my Raptor bed is gone.

Looks sweet ! Do the two pices on the sides of the tailgait (nice idea!) come in contact with the bottom piece ? And I'm assuming you can't see through the side gaps of the tailgate ?

Yes, the gap between the tailgate and the sides of the bed is sealed, so you can't see through anymore. Also, it’s possible to have the two pieces on the sides of the tailgate make contact with the bottom piece, but due to the protrusion of the hinge on the lower part that closes the gaps, I chose not to extend the seal below that point. As I mentioned, I installed it without following the instructions, just in the way I thought would be best.
