1000 mile break in oil change.

I had my break-in change done somewhere between 500 and 700 miles.

Further changes will be carried out at every 3,000, though I'll do one at 2,000 to get the numbers even.

I've more than once had my engines opened up after lengthy periods of ownership and/or driving, to find no sludge, no nastiness; just clean, oiled aluminum. This is by performing the above, and some may be attributed to the Amsoil I've been running for over 25 years, now, on multiple vehicles.

Those vehicles that did not receive such treatment featured the sort of sludge and filth one might expect in an old and/or higher mileage engine.

At the very least, I'm convinced by traditional change intervals.

I've always gone with manufacturer recommendations and never had any issues. I most certainly don't pay attention to any dealership's recommendations. That said, oil changes ain't all that expensive, so if it gives you peace of mind go for it.

It is your truck, so change it if you want too. I think it is a waste of time/money in 2025. Oil and manufacturing are much different than in the past.

Just did mine at 512miles, next will be just after 1000. I'll see how it goes but won't be going more then 5000 miles between changes after that.

Excessive maybe... but oil & filter isn't expensive and there's been good feedback showing earlier changes are a good idea with some of the contamination found in the initial factory fill oil.

I always do my first one at 500 miles, and then again at 1000 miles when I switch to full synthetic. The transmission I always do at 15,000 miles and the differentials at 5000 miles; if the fluids aren't already fully synthetic, they are when I'm done. I know, sounds like a bit of overkill, but its always worked for me.
