have you seen anything to suggest that isn’t sufficient foe the Ford Ranger?

But what you are suggesting is that 10k might not be depending on your driving conditions and the vehicle.
For the record I'm not suggesting anything; I tried to convey that what works for me may or may not work for someone else. I'm still awaiting the results from the analysis of my second oil change so even when that arrives it'll still be too early to even start to form an opinion on what I'm comfortable with. (The first change was done somewhere around 800 miles and the second just over 3k; I'm quite sure both are way too short to have worn out the oil, plus I used a different brand when I changed it at 800 miles).

Around 5000 is good for my FX4. First one was at about 3500. Only once a year for my driving. I have a 2L Escape for the highway with changes at about the same interval.

I think both the 2.3 and 2.7L motors do not have cylinder sleeves. You do not want to scratch the cylinder wall coating. 5K. I may let my truck sit in the summer and just ride my motorcycle.
its good to have it sit with new oil. The acids can etch parts.

My 2010 v6 Ranger said 7500 oil change. Did first at 2000, next at 5000 and 5000 ever since. Sold it in February for exactly what I originally paid for it. My 2024 changed at 2000 and wll change at 5000 and do it every 5000. Full synthetic

I really wouldn’t wait longer than 5k miles. Please see my break in oil analysis below. I did my oil change at 1000miles for break in and plan on every 5k miles.
