Hi Everyone

I am not well versed on Ford engines, this is my first ford anything, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this truck. it has so many bells and whistles that i am blown away that its like my old MDX but as a truck

that being said, I have noticed at times, if i am fully stopped, usually on a hill, when i begin to go and hit the gas it can hesitate for up to a second or 2. This is to the point I have actually thought it was not going to go at all

this has happened at times on flat stops too but not as bad.

This is in normal mode (Sport mode seems better)

I only use 93 octane and it has 11K miles on it and has been perfect

Is this normal for these turbo's? when i kicks in there is no lack of get up and go and it sails away just fine.

Anyway, thank much for any tech help

I have a Lariet 2024 2.3, I had this happen once, scared me pretty good. That was a few weeks ago, has not happened since. I was going around a corner, as I was almost finished, I hit the gas and nothing happened for a bit, seemed longer than it probably was. Anyway, glad to know I'm not imagining things, but I am concerned if this is an issue.

I do use the auto hold whether flat or hill but have the auto on/off off all the time by pushing the button when i start out. The one time i just remembered though I was going up a steep winding road and had to slow way down to go around a bend still going up steeply, when i hit the gas there to keep going and accelerate around the corner it did it here as well, a second or so of nothing and then kicked in

so this was a time when i was on th move and not just stopped. however the stopped ones are when i notice it quite a bit

I wasn't sure if this was what turbo engines did or not ?

THAT part is a common occurrence. I had it in my 5G, slowed to make a left turn then hit the gas... nothing for a second or two. Others have reported something similar. I think it has something to do with turbo lag.

It is the assist when you are at a stop you are feeling.
Driving home when purchased it drove me nuts. It caused a hesitation from a stop.
Turned it off and have not missed it.

Yep, I get it all the time on local curve roads on hills where I have to slow down going up hill. Seems turbo lag is the culprit as well as trans down shift.

I noticed it too. Since getting Fire Procal it’s bit better but still happens from time to time.
