Can anyone confirm the dipstick with the Triangle stamp exists? Or are they all stamped with the H designation?
I’m referring to a 2024 Ranger Lariat with the 2.7 EB engine. The EPN on mine is FT4E-6750-BG. My understanding is that the new triangle stamp is the newer version. If anyone can confirm this I would appreciate it. Thanks to all replies and thanks to the forum.
OK, I posted earlier that my '24 2.7 has an H and measured at the full mark at ~4200 miles.
Also my p/n is the same stamped into the blade of the dipstick. Also I measured from the bottom of the flange on the handle to the full hole and I get exactly 18 3/4" for reference.

I changed the oil and filter adding 6 quarts of Kirkland 5w30 synthetic and a Motorcraft filter.
Started it, checked for leaks. Shut it off and went backabout 15 minutes later. The dipstick was at the full hole.

Also changed to the Dorman drain pug with downward facing hole at the same time. Amazon link.

Youtube video

This *should* make oil changes much less messy.

Thank you for the replies. Have you tried checking it after sitting overnight?
Mine always reads the highest on a completely cold engine. It appears the 15 minute interval described in the manual is the only thing that makes sense. I know mine appears much more overfilled any time after that. Even by 20 or 30 minutes. Thanks again for checking it out and replying. I appreciate it 👍

Anyone else have this issue, or can chime in?
Thanks for any assistance and thanks for the great forum.
Crazy, this is driving me crazy. I changed first at 1000 miles (break in) added 6 quarts of Mobil 1 Synth. After a few weeks now I checked it, just to see. Well, it showed low on the stick so I added 3/4 of a quart, well then it went way over!! So then drain a quart back out and take it off the ramps. waited 15 minutes, not even showing on the stick!! LMAO. what the hell is going on. I have the H stick too so, I will be calling dealer to see what I am supposed to do.

My dealer told me anywhere on the dipstick is fine….well that was no help. I told him I’m aware of the check valve and I’m trying to confirm correct dipstick after the Bronco issue. He had no idea what I was talking about. I have had a 2.7 before (2016 F150) and although that check valve can fool you depending on when you check it, the 2016 had a different dipstick and I was able to get more consistent checks.
Thank you for replying to this thread and I would be interested in hearing what your dealer tells you. Please let me know, good luck!

After reading this thread, I checked my oil level and saw that it appears to be overfilled by one quart. The oil was last changed by the dealer. I need to take the truck in for the recall soon, so I'm going to ask them WTF is going on.

Likely not overfilled, I have measured mine ….6 quarts out, 6 quarts in…still appears overfilled. It all depends on when you check it. I believe it is the check valve for auto start/stop. 2.7l

Has anyone found the issue of why lipstick shows overfull after sitting?
When I check my oil level after 15 minutes it shows just over full. When it has sat for a couple days it shows way overfull. Should I be draining any off?

That’s been my experience as well, six quarts in, six quarts out. The dipstick always reads that way. I believe it is the effect of the check valve ( auto start/stop)
