Ford Australia spec showing 2500kg (5500lb) tow spec…

https://www.ford.com.au/showroom/future-vehicle/next-gen-ranger-raptor/specifications.html

Depending on payload, that’s my bare minimum. Will wait and see what the US Tremor will have, assuming we get that still.
Exciting next couple of years for mid-size!
The payload, GVM and GCM won't be changing much from where it is on the current vehicle, as per the below for the 2021 Raptor. Apparently the new one is a touch lighter (25kg or something. No hard data). All figures below are in kg

I'm pretty sure none of the new Rangers have leaf's. They all look like they are utilizing the 5-Link setup the new Raptor and Bronco have.
No standard Ranger has coils, they are all leaf sprung.

Some info on the Fox Live Valve shocks. These position-sensitive dampers are filled with a Teflon-infused oil that, according to Ford, reduces the friction inside of the shock by half, which should help your suspension react more quickly. 2.5 Diameter over the larger 3.1 diameter on the Bronco

These dampers also feature Bottom-Out Control, which significantly increases dampening force in the last quarter of the shock’s travel to help the suspension from, well, bottoming out, and to prevent the rear of the truck from squatting during heavy acceleration.

The frame is reinforced in the colored areas of the picture over the standard Ranger.

2023-Ford-Ranger-Raptor-3 4.jpg
The frame (especially the rear) is pretty much unchanged from the current model, the rear suspension module of the frame is essentially the Everest wagon's setup. The front suspension is a bit different, and the front axle is 50mm further forward. The front end of the vehicle was redesigned to make these V6 engines fit, the original PX was only ever designed for the inline engines.

The old model also had position sensitive damping, with different damper rates based on the position in the stroke of the damper and the direction of travel. That was all done with mechanical valving, the only real change is the electronic control. This image shows the concept in the outgoing model, the new one will achieve the same and more with the electronic valving.

Can you re-arrange the body colors to match order of the pictures? Most are easy but the 2 greys and aluminum metallic... lol can't figure out which is which. Assuming Aluminum is more of the "steel"/silvery
grey.

Is Sedona Orange the copper color? I kind of like that.

I was really hoping the Rapid Red would carry over. That was going to be my choice for a Lariat Tremor, although I guess it's still possible if these are Raptor exclusive colors.

What is the color of that last one? It almost looks like a midnight navy, but I don't see that as a listed color.

Agree, the Tremor should be a more versatile package for those looking to work the truck as much as play in it.
It depends on the engine options. If the Tremor is only available with the 2.3L then that's out for me.

By the time it gets to North America there could be other color choices...

I hear you on that, but I can't see Ford offering the Raptor engine in any package other than the Raptor.

Fingers crossed though!

He was probably referring to the 2.7 ecoboost.

I would forego the Raptor if there was a 2.7 Tremor package at a decent discount to a comparable raptor.
However, I would forego BOTH if there was a PHEV at launch in the NA market that had even better power numbers :)

Agreed on both points. Especially if a PHEV had an onboard generator available like the F-150 PowerBoost.

And, yes, I was referring to the other V6, the entirely acceptable 2.7L. Only problem is that is an F-150 engine and Ford has never used the exact same engine in the F-150 and Ranger. Not saying they won't, but they never have before.

Done, they're in what I believe is the correct order.
