I was reading the owner's manual last night under fuel quality and found the following 2 statements which are somewhat contradictory. What are you burning in your 2024-2025 2.7?
I don’t see any contradictions in that manual section: 87 is required, but higher octane can be used and may yield a performance improvement especially in hot weather or when towing.

I used regular unleaded in my 2018 and 2022 F150 2.7's with a bottle of STP Octane boost. Just don't forget to use the little white funnel behind your back seat to pour it in. My 2024 RR I'm using 93 octane from stations on the "TopTier" app. Big performance difference with my 2.7's with the octane boost.
I've been running 87 octane in my '25 with the 2.7, zero issues. But for a camping trip I just took to the Sierra's with 3 passengers and a fully loaded bed of camping gear, I ran 91 octane. The temp hit 103 going through Fresno & Clovis, so after reading the owners manual, it kind of seemed like it was the best bet.
i run 87 most because of economics. I don't see a mileage improvement or a major performance improvement with higher octanes, so its just a waste. I'm driving in traffic, not trying to best my lap times.
I will however run higher octanes when towing, and to take advantage of the added detergents. I may do it as low as every third tank, but mostly every 5th tank I'll drop in 93 or 91.
2024 2.7 here
I mostly run 87 octane, premium when I find a good deal. I dont notice a difference in daily driving. Have not towed any real loads yet. I plan to use 92 or 93 octane when towing.
I mostly use top tier, but occasionally I dont. When I get a dollar off at Kroger, I fill up with that.
I took a road trip of about 2500 miles earlier in the year and MPG was not really affected when using 87 vs using 91 octane. Long stretches of 80 mph hwy driving , performance difference was not really tested so IDK how that might have been affected.
24' - 2.7 Ranger Lariat w/13K miles. I agree with DutchRanger. Also, If I go on a several day or weekend trip I will usually run a tank or two of higher octaine. I like using that on the interstates as the truck seems to run well (and better mileage) at those higher sustained speeds.
