The bulletin says Feb 24-June 25. It's directly related to the electric brake booster, so I would assume this would only affect XLT & Lariat models, as the XL has a vaccum brake booster
My '24 was built December of '24. I'm looking on my Ford Pass and it's telling no recalls for my truck. Does anyone recall what the build date range is for the recall?

The booster module reprogramming took 40 minutes. When I left the dealership, it seemed that the brakes were not as initially grabby as before, yet they felt stronger - but it is also raining outside, so this could be a misconception.

I hope this is true!

Guess I'll have to rely on my VIN to be tracked properly since the late year built '24s have the electronic booster in them.
For a dealer to repair it, your VIN will have to have a recall tied to it, otherwise they won’t do it. I heard about the recall in the news a week or so before Ford notified me through the FordPass app that my Ranger was affected. So if it’s not there, you are probably fine. Ford also has a website to search by VIN for any open recalls. I would assume the OTA update will be available for 2024s too cause it will probably include other fixes - but that is merely speculation.

Ford Mobile Van just left my house and did the loss of brake boost re-flash. It took about 25 minutes and no issues.. No charge for them to come to your house on a recall. I was very impressed!.

I'm not sure this impacts all 2025 Rangers, to my understanding it just affects some vehicles with a specific Bosch Electric Brake Booster installed, supposedly only 1% . I haven't received a recall notification (yet) for my Lariat, but the wife has gotten multiple notifications on her F 150 now, text, email, Ford Pass, US Mail. I guess they want her to get hers fixed...

I had the mobile tech come by and do mine today. He said it was the first one he had done. Took about 25 minutes.

i had a Ford tech stop by and do the update. while here, here he inspected the vehicle/topped off washer fluid.

took about an hour, but most that time was just bs’ing about trucks. 😆

the actual update for the recall was pretty quick.

They seem to be pushing the mobile thing, which is fine by me. Made an appointment to bring the truck in on-line and the service folks called back and suggested they could send a tech out to do the update. Scheduled to stop by next week. Nice to see Ford doing the something to make thngs more convenient for the customer.

I'm in Canada. Called to make an appointment a couple days ago.
The earliest I could get in was just over a month from now. September 29. They also said they would need the truck for half a day to fix it.

When I had mine done at a dealership last week, it took 40 minutes at most. A lot of the time was normal dealership crap - taking a video of my vehicle and checking some basic things, then sending me a link to that video, recording my visit in their system, dealing with inquiries from other customers, etc.. I would guess that the process itself probably takes less than 10 minutes.

I called the dealer where I purchased my truck and they told me I would have to drop it off for 2-3 days. I called another dealer and they said they would send a mobile tech. The tech just left my house and it took him about 20 minutes. Painless 😎

Tech appeared at my door as scheduled, disappeared just a few minutes later. Utterly painless. Unless your dealer has a GTD in the showroom they're willing to let you test drive, I'd highly recommend going the mobile route.
