It does all you get in the back is cold feet and cold air does not rise.
my passengers have never once expressed this problem when they're sitting in the back and it's 105 degrees out.

Point the front vents so they get air to the back. Crack the rear window so it pulls the cold air from the floorboard up to face level. Cold air might not rise very well but once you run the a/c for long enough, the entire truck cab is going to be the same temperature. The a/c works great.

It's really not that big of a deal.

for sure, the ac on these trucks is awesome. even in the middle of summer, when the heat index is 120 degrees, i still have to take it off the full cold setting because it gets to cold

I don't get the complacency in this world these days. I mean I know there are bigger things to complain about, but...

Ford: Take things away and make them pay more. They'll still buy it. Corporate shareholders want their 4th vacation house.
Us: Meh, no big deal. Shut up and take my money.

I can't complain too much, I still bought it. But my back seat passengers complain all the damn time. I guess they're just little $@#*&^'s? Nope, they're just used to having something that doesn't exist in the Rangers and they all notice.

Back to thread topic, Kyle, you should have titled this thread "2026 downgrades" lol amiright? 🤣

no one has complained they were hot in the back of my ranger down here in south texas this past summer. and our hot days are from spring break till christmas, generally. it was the high 80s this week, which is very nice because its so cool feeling compared to our normal 98+.

and no complaints about being hot. the center front vents blow well enough to cool the whole cabin. i think the issue is people face all the front vents at the front seats instead of in the middle and side areas so they are not cooling the whole area
I believe those front vents when you aim them sideways also reduce the airflow.

even that center console rear vent you get in other countries is quite low so it’s not like vehicles that have ceiling vents

i feel like there are some better ways to route the rear floor vents airflow that could get the vent higher

I know there are some angled aftermarket attachments for the vent but they don’t impress me

it has not been an issue for me

yes it is interesting that 2026 is a downgrade year, seems to be common in the industry these days

i think it would be far better to offer things as options, like the leather seats and headlights in the 2026 lariat

if the options don’t sell then perhaps delete them

i am glad I picked up a 2025 lariat. 😀. I guess I won’t have 2026 envy, thank you ford?

That's what I'm planning to do trade in my 2024 for 2025 skip the 2026 all together was holding out for a Red Raptor instead we got another gray color.

Not entirely sure you are right here..I need to find the articles that talked about it, but the comparison with bronco or f150 might not be pertinent for the simple reason the size, dimension and volume of the three differ, and that has a safety aspect in some of the tests (especially the one with the side crash)
Bronco is the same platform as the Ranger. With the Ranger having it on the passenger side with the same air bag explain how it would act differently on the driver side. If what you say even made sense they would remove it from the Passenger side too.

Sure but does it really make a difference as long as the vents are getting air into the rear of the cab and passengers are comfortable?

We've had our truck for nearly 2 years and have had passengers sitting back there in the hottest days of summer and coldest days of winter. No one has complained that they aren't getting the effects of the a/c or heat. Just don't block the vents under the seats (which if you have passengers, you wouldn't be) and it's pretty irrelevant.
I’d have to say this is one of the coldest AC in any vehicle I’ve driven. Freeze you out and I like it cold.

Same platform does not mean much when it come to A pillar, trims etc..

the Rangers do not get a drivers side grab handle for small overlap crash testing safety survivability on the left side.

No, a sunroof is not standard on the 2026 Ranger Raptor; it is available as an additional cost option for the Lariat and XLT trims, and the Raptor does not have it as an optional feature
Excellent! I'm not fan of sunroofs and even less when they are forced in a desired trip package such as what Tacoma does.
