So, I have a 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 WITHOUT the 360 degree camera package (only have the rear camera). Cost aside (I know it will be costly), my question - is this something that can be added after the fact? Would this be able to be integrated into the infotainment system? What about wiring? Also, do I really need it? Does it really help or is it just another gadget that prob wouldn't be used that much. Thoughts? Thanks

I have the 360 camera. the side view is nice but nothing I can kill for. however the 360 brings in also some other features that are helpful.
different thing is the front camera, that is quite useful in many different occasions, and that also enables other features that are pretty useful.
wiring will be something tedious...cost will be probably prohibitive as you need to buy the entire mirrors that embed the cameras. on the front might be easier as it come with the logo support. yet, you will probably need some SW update which might be the killer to enable all the features.
this is something you really need to get from the start

It would be tremendously expensive to retrofit. You'd be better off just trading in for a vehicle that already has the option. This is one of those things that you get from the factory or not at all.

So your "No" is to that it's not needed or can't be added? Thx
No it can’t fully be added in OEM fashion.
As others have stated you’re much better off trading it in for a truck that is equipped with it from the factory.

There is also a trailer hitch view option which is really nice since I have a travel trailer.

The answer is “maybe”. There is a company in Brazil FAAfTECH.com that has a product called 360 Birdview that works with the factory infotainment system. Not sure if there is any difference between Brazilian spec and US specs. There are other ones on Amazon that are in the $300 range but they don’t work with the factory screen.

You can add the full 360 co-pilot at your backyard quite easily. Utilise dismantled parts and do your homework of your own car, then you get the idea what you need.

I added 360 co-pilot 2.0, dynamic bending headlights, full audio upgrade to third-party, focal utopia 3-way + center 2-way flax evo rear, 10 utopia sub and 2 focal I sub under the driver and passenger seat to give some deep to rich the clear utopia voice , and musway, but OEM control in dsl. 12.3 inch cluster and 12" center screen. Up fitter, raptor front end

Currently working own black SS interrior trim where I will put ambient lights. Also planning to get something from bigbrother and and pro onboard power.

All these was added with only forscan. I have basically everything for pke and pbs but no access to FDRs that's the only limitation.

Pricewise the speakers was little overkill but well it is wat it is. 360 camera itself is cheap, you get OEM cameras from AliExpress, you can order all the coax cables and connectors from for example digikey, then utilise dismantled cars, get a high level car donor main wiring looms to get missing parts if you don't want to make fully own. Modules IPMA and apim is like 100e and 200e around. 12" screen you get with 400, after that its matter of elbow grease and the level of starting car.

I have 2024 EU spec tremor what Is techwise low from the lows, halogens, analogue camera, nothing special but still I was amazed the ammount of prewiring ford have left In the car.

Programming, take your time and don't hesitate, it's very logic. You need to combine your, and the dismantled car as built in the module that you are installing. For example Ipma, I PMI it first, then checked the features carefully with the spreadsheet (Which is very accurate and in my opinion all works, if you have the hardware to make it work) took car specific data and added the rest from donor. After that you can think what you want to add, with ipma you have quite many options so you can leave those open, but take the alarms away (it's annoying), for example you are adding 360 camera and during the installation you realise that bliss is very easy to Add too. Then you can just wire it in place when you have time, no need to deal with forscan anymore. But after that you have apim and IPMA changes, it's easy to add the acc in same roll. Put that too and start calibration. I bought huge blanket with black and withe squares, and drived back and forward on top of that like 10min and that's it. Very accurate image. Also the trailer 360 camera works nicely.

After that go In traffic and make lane centering and ACC calibrations and you are done..soon I have tremor with platinium add-ons in fraction of price

With ranger you can do anything you want, only limit is BCM but that's matter of coding toom.
