I have a 2025 Lariat 4wd with the locker on order. Will it have the 4wd Auto mode or just Hi and Lo? Thanks

4A is set and forget, and most excellent for wet conditions other than snow or ice, where 4H is not. I think the lower trims are crippled and I never would have bought the Lariat I test drove… I have had full time 4wd or AWD vehicles for the last 25 years, they provide a significant margin of safety for rapidly changing road conditions that you don’t appreciate if you “make do” with a lesser drivetrain. If your spouse or kid drives your new truck, 4H won’t provide the same level of safety for an unskilled driver who encounters a surprise ice patch.

Ford left 4A off for fuel economy reasons. They should have kept it as an option for all trims IMHO….

4A requires a different (more expensive) transfer case, so it's for premium models only.

The Lariat is a premium model with price almost equal to the Raptor. So why is 4A not included or a least an option? I ordered a Raptor for this very reason.

Your question and reason for buying the Raptor answers itself.

You are correct. It answered itself! But it took a test drive in both to come this conclusion. Was afraid the Raptor would not have as good a ride as the Lariat. But as it turns out the Raptor rides better and has more comfortable seats.
