Aeroskin hood protector thoughts?

Thank you! How was the install? Did you have to drill any holes to mount? Any issues with noise?

No drilling, no noise. I did throw away the little squares of adhesive PPF they give you for the end attachment to protect your paint from the plastic clip and made my own slightly bigger using regular PPF.

The one thing I had to do after installation was adjust the hood stops a bit, this is very easy to do and the process is in a thread here which I will look up and link if you need it.

I got the areoskin 2 the bump you can really see the bugs and pollen get redirected and yeeted up and away from the truck. lol

I had a Maverick and got the deflector with the bump on it. It caused a lot of hood buffeting. Took it off, buffeting gone. No more bumps for me.

I plan on a bug shield too. I'd get the Aeroskin 1 if it came in matte black, so it will be the Aeroskin 2.
I don't have any Ford points, and it's a little cheaper at Real Truck, at $145

I believe Ford had the mat black one for $119 but it’s on back order and no telling when it comes back

I have been getting the Weather Tech hood protectors for my last few trucks/suvs.
Made in the USA and fit great. They sell a gloss plastic stick on style with nor drilling required.

When the tools come out, the Ranger moves outside.
I connect the shop vac to the tools to help keep the saw dust down.

That may be the AVS brand, which looks identical except for the log. Real Truck sells those too, but same thing: back order for several months.

My father on law has that one in his truck. I am not sure how well it works though. It looks good in person

I really prefer the clear bra that I have installed on all of my vehicles. Just gave my daughter my 2016 F-150 that had zero marks or missing paint on the hood.
