Does the cartridge oil filter housing have anti-drain back system to keep engine oil in the upper part of the engin? I am getting conflicting information regarding this in both 2.7 and 3.0 EB. Can anyone please shed some light?
Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

3.0 drains oil back into engine. That's why I installed the Baxter oil filter adapter. It keeps oil topside and my hopes is that helps with the cam phaser issues.

Thank you for your reply!
I am about to jump the fence on Baxter adaptor as well as I have been seeing the forbidden glitter in my oil filter, not a lot but enough for me to feel uncomfortable.
I have two questions regarding the Baxter adapter…
1. Which spin-on filter do you use that fit in our engine bay?
2. With the built-in check valve in the adapter, will it change the oil pressure in the system during normal operation at all? Do you ever see the idle oil pressure below 1.5 bar?

Nothing with the oil pressure changed. Same as before adding the Baxter.
Nice side effect is the filter changing is mess free, no oil dripping at all because you apply low air pressure to release the oil before spinning off.
