Well, I changed the red power lead from constant power to ACC keyed power. Joined to my fuse 35 tap that goes to my dash cam. It now works!
I also realize now how it works. When it sensed a start via the keyed power, it electronically "pushes" the button for me.

Installed a start/stop devise from E-Bay for the non-US ranger. Works like a charm. No tools needed and installed in about 5 minutes. I supplied a link to the installation but can be purchased from E-bay.

Well it is now August and still working flawlessly, best 18.00 bucks I ever spent!

Yup, still no issues and my son has the 18 dollar one on his stx and no trouble.

Installed and works fine. Doesn't engage when you remote start with phone or key fob.
