It's a neat solution I hadn't seen, I like the wireless linking and separate switch...my panel where you mounted your is blank so good place for me

Certainly yes! I didn't want to diminish the mod at all, I was just doing my research because it's a good thing to have the bed lighting and when I saw the Reddit thread it was just more feedback to consider before trying it outFair enough. I figured for $28, I'd risk it.
Heck, I've paid more for beer that I didn't like.
Reddit hates everything unless it’s posted in “built for life”.Certainly yes! I didn't want to diminish the mod at all, I was just doing my research because it's a good thing to have the bed lighting and when I saw the Reddit thread it was just more feedback to consider before trying it out
Great idea! Thanks for sharing.I installed a tonneau cover and the factory bed lights weren't bright enough for this old guy.
I was at Costco this weekend and picked up these under cabinet light strips for $28. They're rechargeable, motion sensors, and switch activated.
I upgraded the magnets to neodineum magnets (didn't think the stock ones would take a Bo Duke RR crossing jump) and stuck switch beside the 120v outlet

Amazon $12 I picked up the power from the existing bed lights and its waterproof ip68
Got a link?
Got a link?I used these magnetic USB C rechargeable lights (Amazon) stuck to each side. Movement triggered when I open the tailgate in the dark. Can pop one off to look in a box if needed. They're up under the rail so they won't get wet with my cover down and pop off if I'm hauling in bad weather with the cover open. One charge should last all summer. I've been using them in my camper for a couple years also.
