Woohooo! Look what showed up. I am so close to just putting them on but worried i may tear something from my hernia surgery

Its well made, no cracks or weird welds. Solid thick steel and lots of black paint slathered on.

Oh well.

And the weather is so nice. 75 degrees today and supposed to be 80 tomorrow. Clear blue skies amd very light wind.

Dang surgery

Bedside steps I got off eBay came today. Think they came out of Thailand. Quality looks legit. Paid $450 for them new. Better than OEM price.

I wished you all would quit finding cool stuff to spend my money on! NOT! Us men and big boy toys, I swear!

There is a thread that has step by step instructions with photos on this installation. Some folks say you have to remove the bumper, you don’t. An 8 mm socket can be used to press off all of the clips from the backside except 2. I broke those off with a long screwdriver.
You will find the thread if you search “dealer installed options “.
It took me about 7 hours over 2 days but I was almost 70 when I did it.

But take your time to heal, they are great but not worth taking a step backwards health wise.

You could also check a local body shop, I have a friend who runs one and he told me (after the fact) it would have cost me about $200 to have them put on.

Hmmm.. I always thought it was an exhaust hanger issue on one side. Not a sheet metal issue, but I didn’t pay much attention since it was not an issue for me.

Both exhaust hangers are the same. Just mirrored. There's no cutout in the sheet metal.
