What company did you use? Never had one done but going to plan on it.

Thanks, getting a new engine put in my 2021 (50k miles, bad rod bearing, 5k full syn. oil changes at dealer) and I think I will send the oil out for some peace of mind after the repair. Maybe first and second oil change, then once a year after.

Just got back my results. Looks like I’ll be running 7k intervals

Thank you for sharing this with us. Did you get the TBN as well? It's nice to see how the engine is "breaking in", but I'm curious how well the oil is holding up too.

Yes, thanks for this info. I change my oil, in new engines, at 500, 2000, and 5000. Then every 5000 after that. Just got my 500 mile change. Wish I would have known you could do this. How do I get mine tested ? Thanks.

The easy way is to contact Blackstone and ask for a sample container. They’ll send a small bottle with instructions for mailing it back.

I recommend getting the TBN too if you're curious how well your oil is holding up; it's a measure of how much of the oil's additive package is left. It's a few dollars more ($10? I honestly don't recall) but I'd rather base my oil change intervals on a scientific analysis of my brand of choice after being used in my engine driven by me for whatever distance interval, rather than a universal recommendation or opinions expressed in forums.
