This is what I do. Unless you're entering in your truck in a show or about to apply wax or something, it seems kind of waste to put in so much effort in washing when you're going to get just a couple of days out of it before weather and road grime put stuff back on it.

Yeah, I wash it when it gets pretty dirty and when I have the time. Works out to every few months now.

I miss having a "beater" and the only thing I cared about was being able to see out the windows and mirrors. Only washed when it rained. Beaters are liberating.

Proven point today… washed the truck on the way into work because the forecast called for minimal chances of rain. What did it do? Rain just enough to stick the dust to the truck. Again
